"Ah, well, doesn't Fireclan live out in the open grassland, and hunt rabbits." Darkpaw meowed, sounding a little bewildered. He focused on Snowwhisper, wondering if he was correct or not.

Snowwhisper nodded. "Yes, they do. While we have the coldest terrain, they definately have the hottest. They also are very fast, and can probably out run most Iceclanners, so keep that in mind in a battle. Their current leader is Oceanstar. The part of the territory that we border with here once belonged to Rockclan though, and that means that we would have the advantage of home terf in a fight if it came down to it. They still have to get used to the terrain, and it is very mountainous, so it will take a while to do that, and until then, it is closer to our territory than their own."

Oceanstar, Fireclan leader, ok.
Darkpaw nodded, accepting all what Snowwhisper had told him. He memorized the scent of Fireclan.
"So, they are very fast and we have no hope of outrunning them?" He asked, wanting confirmation. He was curious, as he was sure he was fast enough to keep up with a Fireclanner if he wanted. They couldn't be THAT fast.

Snowwhisper shook her head. "They are fast enough to hunt rabbits, so most of them could outrun the adverage iceclan cat. On their land. They are used to open expances, and in the mountains or the forests, they could easily trip without thinking of the fact that there are rocks and sticks everywhere. Again, what you see here isn't what most of there territory looks like. It is important to remember that as well when fighting them."

Darkpaw sighed, but accepted the fact they were fast. Okay, so they aren't used to tripping because they live on a wide open flat place. That is good to know.
"Is that all I need to know about Fireclan?" He asked, wondering what else he might need to know.
So, far the tour had been super interesting, and he was excited to learn more. The thirst for knowledge was strong.

Snowwhisper thought for a moment and then nodded. "That's all I can think of." she said, "Moving onto rockclan." she said as she started towards their border. "I don't know much about how they live since they moved, but they live on an island. They are tough from when they lived on the cliffs and are now developing swimming skills." she said, finishing up as they arrived at the edge of the firefly chasm. The chasm itself had used to be theirs, and the leake stretching behind it was Rockclan's lands. There was an island in the middle of the lake with many paths leading up to it for cats to walk across. "That's pretty much all I know about them though."

"Oh, Rockclan swim?" Darkpaw asked, sort of freaked out. What kind of cat liked to submerge themselves in water? Sure, Darkpaw loved the rain, but he didn't think that puddles were any good, so why a river or lake. Same same.
When Snowwhisper said that was all she knew about them, Darkpaw nodded, and then looked around.
He was dumbfounded by the strange landmark. "This is the Firefly Chasm!" He meowed, taking in as much of the scene as possible from where he was standing. He thought is was very exquisite.

Snowwhisper nodded. "It's a beautiful place in itself, but at sunset when the fireflies come out, words cannot describe it. Maybe we'll come back then sometime, or you can go on your own."

"Oh, sure. That sounds amazing. I'll make sure to come back then soon, maybe both of us, whatever happens." Darkpaw suggested, turning back to Snowwhisper.
"Is there anythings else we haven't covered?"

Snowwhisper shook her head. "That's all of our borders. Now, moving onto hunting," she said, "I'm just going to teach you the basic position today. Try to copy this," she added, moving into a hunting crouch.

Darkpaw carefully watched Snowwhisper before lowering his body to copy her. His paws were far apart and it felt awkward, and his tail was waving around trying to keep him balanced. He flattened his ears.
"Uh, is this close?" He asked, knowing he wasn't doing what his mentor was doing.

Darkpaw nodded, and he shuffled his paws closer. When he was sure it was close as he could make it comfortable, he lowered his tail so it was drifting over the floor. "Like this?"

Snowwhisper nodded. "Yeah, just like that." she said approvingly. "Well then, let's get back to camp. Be ready tomorrow morning and I'll teach you how to pounce and how to fish."

Darkpaw grinned and stood back up normally, his tail swishing. "Sounds good, I'd like to learn whatever I can, and Fishing sounds like fun." He meowed, nodding. "I'll be ready to train, don't worry."
