| Silverpaw only please. | It was early morning, the sun had already begun its journey up into the sky. Flightfoot was eager to begin training her new apprentice. She trotted out of the den and poked her head into the apprentice den. "Silverpaw, it's time to wake up," she called softly. She trotted over to the camp entrance and sat, tail curled neatly around her paws as she waited. As she did she thought back to her own territory tour with her mentor, Cloudspirit, who just so happened to be her older brother.

Silverpaw had awoken when Blazepaw had gone out for training, but hadn't gotten up yet. She had figured she should get as much rest as she could for her first day of training, and Fleetfoot hadn't said when training would begin, so she lay awake waiting for her mentor. It wasn't all that long before the older cat came and said to get up, and she did so with out question, following the warrior to the camp entrance.

Flightfoot was broken from her reverie when her apprentice trotted out of the den. "Good morning. Are you ready to begin the tour," she asked the young cat. She was practically bouncing on her heels to go out and start their journey together. It had been too long since she had wandered the territory.

Silverpaw nodded at Flightfoot's question. "I'm ready if you are." she said calmly. While she was excited for her first day of training, she was never really the best at showing such emotions, and it was natural for her to keep a calmer exterior.

Flightfoot led the pair through the camp entrance and into the territory. Her paws sank into the snow and her breath was seen in the air. She puffed out her fur as much as she could and started picking her way down the trail. "I decided it'd be best to show you Iceclan's territory first to get you used to it's terrain and surroundings and tomorrow we'll tour the borders," she said, picking her way over a snow-covered fallen tree. She stopped by a small stream and waited for her apprentice to catch up.

Silverpaw nodded and followed her mentor. Although the pace was a bit fast for her much smaller legs, she didn't complain. She knew she'd have to get used to it and that pushing herself in any way would make her a better warrior. When Flightfoot went over a fallen tree, she had a little difficulty following, slipping on the snow every now and then, but she didn't let herself take to long getting over the tree and continuing to the stream where Flightfoot waited.

Flightfoot watched as the smaller cat struggled to climb over the tree and twitched her whiskers a bit in amusement. "Just beyond this stream is an overhang over the Bluebell Copse. In green-leaf and new-leaf, when it's slightly warmer, the ground is covered in blue as the Bluebells blossom. Tomorrow during the borders tour when we visit Treeclan's border we'll stop by," she said, as she stepped over the stream and curved left towards the more mountainous terrain. The ground underpaw began to become more rocky through the snow and poked the pads of Flightfoot's paws. She looked back at the younger cat to see if she needed any help.

Silverpaw simply nodded and followed Flightfoot as they started towards what were obviously more rocky grounds. As they began onto that rockier ground, her much softer paw pads stung from the mix of icy cold and the rocks she stepped on. She didn't want to be the cause of delay though, so she stuck to the more snowy areas where the rocks were burried a bit deeper.

As Flightfoot led the duo up into the more mountainous region of their territory, she spotted the cliff face she was looking for. She picked her way over the rocky floor and led her apprentice towards a more cleared area. She padded towards the front face and saw the hollow hole of Hollow Rock, but kept her distance. "Hollow Rock. It is indeed hollow inside but we will not be poking our noses in there because who knows what's nesting in there. I don't know if Minnowfin ever told you the old nursery stories of Molenose or not but, legend has it that one of our very own warriors, Molenose, dug the hole to escape Cloudclan's judgement after her committed a grave sin. We don't know for certain if that happened but it's a good story to frighten the kits," she said, twitching her muzzle in amusement at the last bit. She turned to face her apprentice, her face calm as she explained what was to happen next.
"Now, there is one more significant place I'd like to show you in our territory. It's up the mountain a ways, but I want you keep behind me at all times. This site is known to house lynxes in this time, so be alert. We won't be going close to it, unless I tell you the coast is clear. I'll tell you when to start being careful, okay?" She asked the silver apprentice, her ears up and alert.

Silverpaw nodded. "Yeah, I've heard that story before. It never seemed very realistic though, I mean, who could dig through rock, and what good would doing that do against Cloudclan?" she asked, "I know it's just a story, but it doesn't seem all that real, even for one of the legends passed down."
"Alright" she responded, waiting for Flightfoot to lead the way.

She gave her apprentice a nod and led her up and around Hollow Rock and onto a trail that was worn down by many paws over many generations. The ground was still rocky but it didn't hurt as much as they climbed up the mountain. Flightfoot breathed in the crisp mountain air and breathed out a small purr. She loved Iceclan, it was her home. She felt her muscles beginning to tense up from the steep mountainside and looked back at her apprentice to see how she was fairing. She knew it must be hard for the younger cat and stopped by a tall birch to let her catch up. "If you'd like, we can rest for a bit. We still have a little ways to go," she said, looking up at the mountain.

Silverpaw had a bit of difficulty on steep incline, but she made sure to keep up. She shook her head at the option of a break though. "No, I think I'm alright."

Flightfoot smiled at her apprentice's decline to her request. She somehow knew she wouldn't want to. "Okay, let's keep going," she said, continuing up the steep mountainside. She felt the cold start the seep into her fur and the sun seemed to disappear. She looked up to see that the walls of the trail were blocking the sun. She puffed out her fur a little more and kept pushing on. Soon the sun rejoined the two and the walls fell way as they walked up to a clearing. Just beyond it was the crashed plane. Flightfoot stopped and looked at her apprentice. "This is where we must be careful. Stay close behind me as I lead you around the clearing. Once you're hidden in the bushes, I'll go out and investigate to see if it's safe to go and look around. Now get in your hunting crouch, belly lightly grazing the snow, head down, ears flat, and tail completely straight and still," she explained, dropping into a perfect hunting crouch and looked over to see her apprentice's crouch.

Silverpaw nodded, following Flightfoot's directions and crouching down. She didn't acctually know if she was doing it right, but she did her best to mimic Flightfoot's position. "Like this?" she asked quietly.

Flightfoot nodded in approval at her apprentice's crouch. "Good. Now, stick close to me and try to make as little noise as possible," she instructed as she moved around the edge of the clearing. She kept her legs close to her body as she silently crept around the clearing and into the brush. She led her apprentice towards a large oak tree that sat adjacent to the right wing of the plane. "This is a twoleg contraption. It was crashed here one day and has sat here untouched ever since. I'll go check to see if the coast is clear to investigate the scene or not. Stay here, stay alert, and stay down," she said before carefully picking her way over to the edge of the wreckage. She sniffed gingerly at the ground trying to pick up any scents of danger. She stepped even more into the open and lifted her nose to the air to see which way the wind was. It was downwind. She breathed a sign of relief when she picked up only very stale scents of lynxes. "We're safe. You can come out and explore now if you'd like," she called to Silverpaw.
