DarkpawLoudpaw was rather tired from a day's training. He felt tired, yet he felt so excited. The ginger and white tom walked around, staring up at the sky. His light blue eyes widened and a small smile grew on his face. The Iceclan apprentice took his gaze away from the sky and the noticed a familiar pelt. Loudpaw beamed and slowly walked over to his friend. "Darkpaw..! Hey!" He said, a bit of anxiety edging his voice. Was Darkpaw in the middle of something? Was Loudpaw bothering him right now? He shook the thoughts away.

Darkpaw had been grooming his fur in the edge of the camp near a overhanging plant of some sort, carefully removing leaves and sticks that he had picked in his fur up while wandering though the territory.
His long limbs and willowy body were stretched out as his tongue rasped over his jet black pelt. He also had to admit he had been half keeping tabs on what Loudpaw was doing, but he didn't want to admit that.
Suddenly he noticed the other tom pad up to him, beaming. Loudpaw greeted him, and Darkpaw pushed himsefl up so he was sitting.
"Hello, Loudpaw, I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" He meowed, smiling slightly. He contemplated the hesitant tone in the other toms meow, wondering what he had done this time. He took another slow long look at Loudpaw, admiring the patterns of his nice fur. When he caught himself scrutinising, he blushed (isn't very noticeable because of the black fur) a little and turned his eyes back to Loudpaws, tail tip flicking, restless, behind him.

Loudpaw blinked and nodded as Darkpaw spoke. He thought and stared up at the sky. "It's nice to see you, it's been awhile! Anyways, I've been doing good. Training with Stormcloud and Blazepaw is nice." As he was talking and looking at the stars, he didn't notice the blush; not that he really would due to the darkness and Darkpaw's dark fur.
"How have you been?" He finally looked back at his friend and smiled. It had been a long time since the two had talked, last time being when they were in the nursery. Loudpaw hoped training was going well for the tom.

Darkpaw glanced up sky briefly when Loudpaw did, wondering what the tom was looking at. That didn't last long before his eyes went back to Loudpaw. "It's nice to see you, too." He meowed.
"Oh, you share your mentor with Blazepaw?" Darkpaw asked, curious as always. "How is that? Do you get fair training? Does your mentor struggle? Do you get along with Blazepaw?" All these questions tumbled from Darkpaws mouth, which he clamped shut.
When Loudpaw asked how he'd been, Darkpaw nodded meeting Loudpaws warm eyes with his always slightly hesitant and unsure calculating ones which were lit up in the delite he felt at talking with his friend again.
"I am good, thank you for asking." He meowed. "Snowwhisper is my mentor, and yeah, though she is the medicine cat, she knows a lot about being a warrior as well, so I am not being trained to be a med cat." He meowed, rushing the words. He wasn't training to be a soft herb cat who spent their time wandering and treating others. "I have learn a lot, and she is a great mentor." He added quickly.
Seeing Loudpaw again had honestly made Darkpaw feel a lot better, though, as he had been sorta lonely. Sure, he'd met Silverpaw and Blazepaw, but they weren't like Loudpaw. Loudpaw was... Darkpaw didn't know what he wanted or thought Loudpaw was to him. That or he didn't want to think about it.

Loudpaw beamed. A small bit of fear hung over him though as he glanced at the entrance of camp. The thought of enemies running into camp frightened him. Why the heck was he up at night, anyways? Anything in the nighttime freaked him out.
"Training is good, we train together on things. Stormcloud seems to know what they're doing, and Blazepaw is nice, though I don't know how too well." He listed off the answers, his bobbed tail flicking. When the two glanced at each other, Loudpaw felt warmth. His smile grew. "Huh, being trained by the medicine cat? That's interesting, and really cool. Maybe you'll learn a bit on herbs, who knows?" He shrugged. Loudpaw thought it would be nice if anyone learned at least a few facts on herbs, just in case anything happened.

Darkpaw listened intently to what Loudpaw was saying, never missing a word.
"That is great, it's good to know you and Blazepaw are getting along and Stormcloud is not an idiot." He tried his hand at teasing, though he didn't know if it sounded right. His smile didn't falter though.
"Oh, I didn't think of that..." He meowed, a look of surprise passing his face. "That is a brilliant idea. To learn about some herbs so I at least have basic knowledge of them and can help if there is an emergency with no medicine cat around." He sounded excited now, pale lilac eyes shining. Loudpaw was so great.
His heart felt weird, and his breathing was quicker than normal. He felt flushed and warm and strange. It sort of freaked him out, but he was smart enough not to panic, just to breathe evenly. Even though all his attempts at calm were foiled whenever he looked at Loudpaw. He had to eventually look at the sky or floor or something instead. This didn't stop his stealing glances anyway...

Loudpaw flicked his ears and nodded in glee as Darkpaw spoke. The tom started to feel fully relaxed, his fluffy fur lying flat.
The Iceclan apprentice didn't take much notice to his friend's weird behavior, as he wasn't one to be too aware of things. "Yeah! It would be nice to know a little more than just cobwebs. You should ask her about that sometime!" He chirped, his tail flicking madly. Loudpaw then turned his head and looked up at the sky, making shapes of the clouds he was able to see.

Darkpaw was grinning now. "I sure will. I bet she'd be happy to teach me a little about it, cause she's super nice." He meowed, gaze following Loudpaws to the clouds. He smiled, breathing out slowly. It was such a good night tonight, and seeing Loudpaw again had made it even way better.
"Do you reckon out mentors could join up and let us do a joint training?" He thought out loud, liking the idea of spending more time with the other apprentice. Suddenly he was washed with anxiety, What if Loudpaw didn't like him as much as Darkpaw him and wanted to not talk as often as he did, and wanted to be alone and .... etc etc.
His eyes flickered to Loudpaw and away and back again, as he tried to read his face and body language, smile falling away.

Loudpaw's eyes lit up at the thought of a joint training session. It'd be so cool to train with his friend, and training with others was more fun than training alone. "I don't know, I'll ask Stormcloud, or you could ask Snowwhisper, either way." He smiled greatly, and puffed out his chest.
Loudpaw turned to see Darkpaw's smile gone, had he upset him? The tom's fur started to rise as he asked quickly. "Are you okay?"

Darkpaw nodded, making a mental note to ask Snowwhisper about a join training.
"Oh, uh, no I'm fine!" He meowed, trying to smile but sort of failing. He panicked as he saw Loudpaw's fur rise. Aw damn, what had he done. "It's just, I was thinking that I might be annoying you because of my wish to speak with you. You probably don't want me to speak with you, because... because I am, too happy and elated when I speak with you." He carefully dodged the real reason, being really cautious of what he said. He was afraid that if Loudpaw found out he would hate him.

Loudpaw lowered his ears, a slightly concerned look on his face. "N-no, I love talking to you! You're not annoying at all!" The tom quickly replied, standing up and looking directly at his friend. If anything, it was Loudpaw who should be saying this, since he started the conversation in the first place. "But no, I'm not annoyed, and I think you being happy is wonderful." He tried to show a reassuring smile.

Darkpaw felt relief wash through his body as Loudpaw said he loved talking to him and that he wasn't annoying, and that him being happy was wonderful. Geez, Loudpaw was blind and naive((XD)), but Darkpaw was half relieved and half freaked out. What would happen when Loudpaw ever found out... AH! Darkpaw shook his head vigourosly and internally slapped himself
"Okay, I was just checking." He murmured, and he replied to Loudpaws reassuring smile with his own once again happy(ish) one. "It really is great talking to you again, it makes my day when I see you and then I am always in a surprisingly good mood after conversing with you.

((Honestly a world war could happen behind him and he wouldn't notice.
Loudpaw smile grew wider and turned his head to the sky, counting the stars. He didn't notice the warm feeling in his chest as Darkpaw continued. "It's great talking to you as well, and I'm glad I can make you happy." A few tears of happiness fell down Loudpaw's cheek as he smiled. It felt great that he could be like that to a cat.
((Also my writing muse is kinda dead-

((hehe lol about the war thing, not lol about your muse, so sorry about that it's the worst ever! Also mine is also fading...))
Darkpaw watched as Loudpaw turned his gaze to the stars, seeming to count them. He smiled slightly at the comment Loudpaw made about liking how he can make Darkpaw happy. His eyes went wide as a tear rolled down the other cats cheek, and he moved and wiped it off gently. He made a shhing noise. "Ah, don't cry. Shhh." He tried to sooth, even though the smaller apprentice was smiling, obviously not sad.

((The muse to reply to stuff is killing meeee
Loudpaw laughed a bit as Darkpaw comforted him, feeling a bit happier. "Fine, finee." He smiled, wiping another tear that was forming. The smaller tom broke away for a second, and smiled before he headbutted the apprentice playfully. Loudpaw puffed out his fluffy fur, trying to make him as big as Darkpaw.
