I'm nuts, baby, I'm mad The craziest friend that you've ever had You think I'm psycho, you think I'm gone Tell the psychiatrist something is wrong
WORDS: 104; notes: agh senior warrior loki xD
Loki stopped for a moment to gaze at her in a nearly judging way, teasing her through epxressions. Then, he spoke what he was truly thinking. "Sounds better than what I have right now." Truthfully, it was. He had no one to depend on, but he usually wasn't the one to depend on anyone. Well, at least he thought that, until he became brotherless and realised he depended on his older brother more than he'd truly admit.

The judging look she was met with just about shattered all of her self confidence, until the tom started speaking.
"Sounds better than what I have right now."
She regarded the tom with a confused gaze, trying to work out if he was making fun of her or not. Realised he was most likely being sincere, and breathed out a sigh of relief.
"I hate you," she meowed with the relieved sigh. "You gave me a heart attack!"

A smile found Loki's face, yet his eyes gave off a short of angry look that he couldn't seem to shake. He then squinted his eyes together and tilted his head in a way as to make a point, as he said, "Ooh, strong words. I do believe if I wanted to give you a heart attack, I could, by attacking your heart." The smile that followed that statement was... mostly teasing.

two enormous black wings Rose didn't know what to make of the literal taking of heart attack, finding the tom's tone both teasing and alarmingly real. A chocolate ear batted.
"Thanks. Cannot wait," she meowed dryly with a sardonic grin (sEE avatar). Her eyes turned back to the view, watching as the sun crept warningly closer and closer to the horizonline, sending swirls of red, orange and pink rolling out over the sky. How beautiful.
"You'd have to find my heart first," she continued. "And I do think that is... a very difficult task." Of course, no one has attempted it before. She has, however, been on the other side of the line, drawing others' hearts out of their cage to play with it, mangle it and leave it behind once she got what she wanted.
She wasn't too proud of it, but not too bothered either.

WORDS: 131; notes: honestly i dont even know if she was referring to "love" xD
Loki turned his black face from her to the clouds, the sun reflecting off the green in his eyes. He responded in a nearly dry tone, as well. "Hearts aren't something I search for." So plain, so simple, so heart-wrenching. He had left love behind long ago, and never really thought about it after he'd lost both his biological parents, adopted parents, and sister. Now, he lost his brother, but his sister returned to save him from the possible heartbreak to come. He had thrown love away, maybe selfishly, but he didn't want to be hurt that way again. It left him weak, vulnerable.

two enormous black wings "Hearts aren't something I search for."
Rose was surprisingly affected by just how simple, dry and absolutely heartbreaking the tom's voice was. Perhaps he was lonelier than she initially thought. Of course, love wasn't anything she searched for either, not anymore, so she understood. Understood the feeling of wanting to protect yourself, so pushing everyone else away.
"Yeah, me neither."
To her, love was just leverage for someone to use against you. She didn't trust anyone enough for that.
ahh i guess she could've meant anything, really. rose is a very vague cat ^^

Loki found her gaze once more. "It seems we are quite similar. I would think either someone exactly like me, or someone totally opposite of me, would get me to come out of the darkness I'm hidden in.." He paused to glance back at the setting sun. "I guess we'll see."

two enormous black wings Rose locked her eyes onto the tom's when he looked at her, deep blue orbs blank of emotion.
"I do believe that depends on if you want to leave the darkness," she looked away.
"Sometimes, for some.... well, darkness is all you know."
Darkness was something Rose was very familiar with, though she was born into a star-studded, shining example of a family. But the wilderness changed her; for better or for worse, she didn't know. Her life was no longer fur brushes and photoshoots, but loneliness and the empty feeling of hunger. Hiding in the shadows of the woods, barely escaping with her live intact.
But she enjoyed it. She felt free.
Darkness was the one who embraced her after her own family didn't, welcomed her with open arms into its shadows. Alone with darkness, she survived. Darkness had her back when no one else did.
And she, for one, didn't want to leave it.

Loki sighed. "Would you like to go on a hunt? I remmeber you speaking of a thursh you wished you'd killed, and your stomach isn't the best at keeping secrets."

two enormous black wings Rose narrowed her eyes.
"Of course."
She'd never shared a hunt with anyone, not really trusting any cat enough. But she assumed that Loki could hold his own and not make any silly mistakes that might cost them the hunt, like she often worried others would.

WORDS: 266; NOTES: THOR'S BACK! You might see a change in Loki in future threads
Loki turned before she even responded, already setting out across the meadow. Within their time of talking, the animals seemed to come back out, but they weren't as plentiful as they had been, as if some were still hidding from the shadow that had descended upon their land. Loki flicked his keen, narrowed eyes right and left, searching for momentment, while his nose sniffed the air. He could pick up old and new traces of rabbit, birds that had long since flown away, and even the occasional field mouse.
But then his eyes caught on the flash of white fur, and he quickly snapped his head toward the movement, his green eyes watching and he, himself, became deathly silent, his pose in that of a watchers. He watched the rabbit as it hopped slowly across the field, nibbling on grass here and there, until he dropped low to the ground, the taller grass completely hiding his black, shadow-like form. He flicked his tail and met the siamese's gaze in a sort of acknowledgment that she would stay put, before he moved forward like a flowing river, his muscles rippling and his sleek, black pelt gliding over the lush grass. He circled around the unsuspecting rabbit, before suddenly leaping out at it and hissing loudly. The thing nearly dropped dead with fright, but managed to scurry away as quick as its little legs could go, straight to the girl's claws.

two enormous black wings Against all instincts, Rose fell into line after the black tom, deeming it not worthy to bicker for first place. She walked silently, supple spine allowing her paws to hit the ground gently. Deep blue eyes watched, watched as the tom surrounded the unsuspecting rabbit, staying in place as he asked. She watched as he leapt forward, scaring the rabbit almost right into her claws.
She reacted quickly, lithe body unfurling into a leap and pinned the rabbit down, killing it with a quick bite to the back of the head.
Her kills had certainly gotten a lot cleaner since she first left home.

Loki nodded to her as she killed the rabbit easily. "We are running short on time," he said, looking back to the sky. "I do believe this is where we split ways, until we meet again." He took a step backwards, the long shadows of the few trees seeming to envelope him. Soon, only his unblinking green eyes stared back. "The rabbit is yours, I do not need it." He stood for a few moments more, waiting for any last words she might add. 86 sorry for sudden ending. Perhaps two or three more posts left © to Vel

two enormous black wings Rose gave a quick nod to the tom's words, watching as he retreated into the shadows, which seemed to easily swallow him.
"Thank you."
She turned around gently and padded gracefully away, rabbit hanging from her jaws.
