::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Adela shook her head. She really just wanted her new life in her new home to go the way it was supposed to go. She was supposed to make enemies at every corner. She was supposed to stay a while then up and leave. She wasnt supposed to run into her long lost sister and apparently still be emotional on the whole thing. Now she might acctually have to settle down and make these so called 'friends.' Yeah right. Every cat she had gotten close to had died, betrayed her, or worse, betrayed her by killing someone else she was close to. Yeah, friendship didn't go so well for her.
"What?" she asked cooly as she detected another cat nearby. She really just wanted to get into a real fight, but she wasn't going to let those emotions show. She was going to consider her sister and not he straight up mean. She wasn't going to be nice either, but she wouldn't be as mean as she wanted to be right off the back.

It was nighttime. However, it was not the kind of nighttime one would think of at first, but instead it was a night full of stars. The sky shown bright with the full moon, and every star seemed alit with newly found hope, hope that outlasted any other on this world. However, Loki knew, looking up at these bright stars, that not all hoped. Some were, in fact, already dead, completely obliterated in the dead, empty void of space, and yet still, in this very night sky, Loki could see that long gone star, shining bright but getting dimmer everyday. Someday, it would be gone, but another might replace it, maybe a brighter star that had been hidden behind the first will appear, and no one would notice the one died. Loki felt as if this was his life, yet he was the hidden star, and the star in front of him was his brother, or maybe his sister, or both. For him to be seen, they had to be obliterated, though this was a selfish dream, and Loki no longer flipped it over in his mind. Once, he would've loved to murder them both, but now, both of them were very dear to him, though he covered that deep love with layers upon layers. He would not let it show, he would not show them, or anyone, how he truly felt, but staring up at these beautiful stars, they came to mind. Most likely asleep at this moment in their own caves, Loki knew they couldn't see these stars, and he couldn't name these stars like he could on Asgard, yet they were so beautiful. Looking at them, Loki noticed they seemed further away, and dimmer, than they did on his homeland. It was slightly strange, how just going to a different realm could completely alter a perspective on something. Loki lifted a claw and traced a certain constellation, one he had just found now but did not know the name of. The shape he made was that of a lopsided timeglass, and then a picture came to mind. A centaur, firing his arrow on a drawn bow toward something, perhaps an enemy. Loki let his black paw drop as his green eyes flitted over the bright stars, each of them reflecting off the green in his eye. Water could be seen in these eyes, and a singular tear fell onto the short fur on his cheek. It ran down the strand, before falling off and landing in the lush grass beside his face. He closed his eyes for a long moment, before turning over on his side, then onto his paws, and he was suddenly up. Loki's face was now a sort of determined neutral, which caused him to look slightly angry. He set off through the grass as it swayed in the night wind, going at a fairly good pace, his black pelt blending in quite well with the shadowy plains. He did not expect to come upon a lone cat at this time, but when he saw one in the near distance, he did not act surprised. When it spoke, Loki identified it as a girl, from her lighter tone. She did not turn her face toward him, so he took it as his chance, and he instantly went into stealth. Loki snuck across the grass, putting one paw before the other slowly, making not a noise, just as Sky had once taught him in the darkness of a cave. The grass still swayed in the gentle breeze as it carried his scent away from her, but hers right to him. A small smile of pleasure crossed his face as his green eyes scanned her. Then, as he crept around her, he curled his body in a sort of half circle, his tail flicking on her left and his head over her right shoulder, his green eyes glowing. "Displeased, are we?" 657 im so proud of this © to Vel

::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Adela rolled her eyes at the other cat's attempted trickery through stealth. It was dark and the cat's pelt blended in, but that didn't matter because she wasn't tracking colour she was tracking movement. When one tracked movement they could see even the most blended in cats. Plus the shape of the cat made a shadow of space covering the stars, making him quite easy to track. She stepped away slightly to show she knew exsactly where he was, but not bothering to move far enough away that he couldn't reach her if he decided to attack. She loved a challenge of watching footing to see where someone was going to move, as well as the chance to practice her reflexive dodging skills. "By your baby tricks? Yes, I am. I expected someone more... of a challenge to live in these plains and be out at night. Could you point me in the direction of someone of the sort?" she asked, purposely thickening her french accent and giving the most innocent of smiles. Of course, it was in her best interests to pick a fight, but part of what she was saying was true. She wanted someone who would actually be a challenge to fight for once. Now, perhaps it would be this cat, but the odds of it were quite slim...
Tag(s):Loki Word Count:253 Notes: Well, my posts will probably be a bit shorter for her, sorry. Also, sorry for her rudeness, again, she is looking to pick a fight.

Loki tilted his head in the slightest as he came smoothly around to the front of her, and looked down into her eyes. Another smile fromed on his face at her words, and he responded calmly. "I don't believe you'll find any of the sort, other than the one you're looking at." 65 wait wait... so loki's expertise is basically fighting. Is this fair? © to Vel

::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Addie tilted her head. "Really? You think that highly of yourself? Or do you just think that lowly of everyone else here?" she asked in a slightly amused tone. She had met, eh, about three other cats who had said basically the exact same thing, and found that she enjoyed proving them wrong.
Tag(s):Loki Word Count:86 Notes: Yeah, it's fair. Addie's life revolves around fighting at the moment so it's fair.

Loki lifted his gaze majestically from her to the shaded mountains beyond. A singular bird flew over them, silouetted in the night, yet Loki could still see it. He followed this bird with his eyes as he responded to her. "I have known few who have matched me in combate on this world. Few, meaning one, and it was not exactly the fairest of fights. I do think myself above you, but it seems you would like to prove me wrong." He took a step back and stood, moving his green gaze back to her. The smile dropped off his face, and his eyes became cold as his soul, and completely heartless. He nearly snarled at her, "so prove it." 122 woah loki © to Vel

::(Adela)::'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Adela tilted her head at the black cat's new expression. It was merciless. She smirked, knowing that this would be fun. She took a small step back as well and assumed a fighting stance. "You're the one who needs to prove yourself," she responded, ready to dodge or attack based on the black cat's movements. Of course, he had the advantage because her pelt was easier to see in the dark, however, if it came to advantages, she could make her own.

"You highly underestimate me," Loki responded as he gave the stranger a throughly meaningful look, as his expressions were nearly dead by this point. He was analyzing her, looking for weak spots and ways to overcome her, while also trying to figure her fighting style out before the fight even began. But there was no doubt, it would begin. This cat was itching to be in a battle, and Loki found it time that he needed practice, and neither of his siblings would want to battle him. He could've fought Sky, but she was getting a little predictable in her ways, and Loki wanted to make sure he was still keen, and sharp, as he used to be. Loki's black paws shifted as he began a very slow circle, not even moving very far. He was waiting for the first strike, as he was not the one to strike first. He always waited, and when the first strike came, he would be ready. 182 loki has a very balletic fighting style. Thor is like the rock, and loki like the wind © to Vel

::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Adela clucked her tounge, "Well, since you seem to overestimate yourself it seems to even itself out." she said, her gaze trained on this cat's every motion, ready to dodge a first strike, or to act as soon as his guard was down. That second option would be very tricky as she couldn't see well enough to tell if a small part of his guard was down, but she never went for it when the guard was let down in a bigger volume as it was more often a trick. She kept her bemused expression though, never caring to show her worries.

Loki smiled and swished his tail, his green eyes narrowing in on her. "Perhaps we shall stand here all night, and never once throw a blow. Though, from the way your just itching to start a battle, I'd assume you'd be disappointed if that happened to happen." 49 omg yes it is © to Vel

::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Adela narrowed her eyes. "However, I do not believe you would stand here all night without showing an oppertunity to strike." she said. As she spoke she pretended she wasn't paying close attention and changed her weight to a position that made her left flank look open when it was actually safe.

"That may or may not be so," Loki commented as she exposed her left flank. It was too obvious, the way she acted, and from what Loki had already picked up about her, she was too experienced to be that stupid. He let off, standing straight up tall with his green eyes hooding, judging. Yet he remained tense in case of an attack, he seemed to relax, and even dared a smile without teeth. 76 © to Vel

::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Addie tilted her head as the other cat came out of their fighting stance, then waited a few moments before doing the same. "Cats here are weird." she muttered under her breath, shaking her head though she didn't take her eyes off the other cat for even a moment. See, Adela was not at all used to the concept of kindness, and the two cats she had met there were both nice to her. It was confusing. She didn't like it.

"You don't seem all the eager to start a battle," Loki stated, narrowing his eyes at her quite judgingly, though within his brain, he did not judge for a moment. "Perhaps I have misjudged you?" 37 © to Vel

::(Adela):: 'Darkness will taint all in the end, no matter how pure.' Adela narrowed her eyes slightly. "And usually that's my first mistake," she responded coolly. She had tried being nice. She had made friends. They had only hurt her by betraying her or going off and dying. Being nice never brought her any good.
