Arrowstar emerged from inactivity the Leader's Den, stretching with a sigh exhaling from his lips. Everything in his clan seemed almost... dead. Sure, there were kits, apprentices, warriors, etcetera, but everything was slow. Calm. Too calm for his liking. It was a bit frightening how calm things have been since the Uprising. He was a paranoid creature, one who was always expecting the worst. And this was one of those times.
He shook his head, like he told himself get it together. You have to have faith in your warriors. There was no way he could doubt his loyal followers. They stuck with him, an outsider, and allowed him to keep leading them on.
The tom jumped down from the rock, strolling over to the food pile. It seemed a bit low. Hunting was in order, and he knew that soon, they would have to stock up. Winter was going to come soon. Just as he was leaving, Arrowstar bumped into a cat, blinking in surprise.
"Oh, apologies. I wasn't paying attention," he said, his amber eyes widening from the surprise of running into another body. Usually he wasn't this out of it.

Crystalbird found that er... Treeclan was... Well, if she didn't know better she'd say everyone had suddenly died and she was walking through a camp of corpses. It was depressing how empty the clan seemed nowadays. It'd been that for a long time, since sometime after Yellowburr had started kicking up a fuss only to disappear into thin air. Not that she really was missing him, and the chaos he brought... But it was still disconcerting how quiet things were these days.
She stood up from the fresh-kill pile, about to leave to go hunt, when someone bumped into her. "Ah!" She backed up and saw it was Arrowstar. She flashed an easy smile at him. "It's fine. Don't sweat it." She said calmly, seeming to almost purr her reply.
Her tail passively waved behind her.

Hollowkit sat outside of the nursery taking in the camp and how big and amazing it was. For a bright-eyed, curious kit such as Hollowkit, nothing was ever wrong or bad. All he had to worry about in this stage of his life is what game he was going to play, or what his mother and siblings were up to. Hollowkit sweeped his gaze around the camp and saw a large, gray tom come out of the leader's den. "Wow! That must be Arrowstar!" He thought to himself, a woeful grin finding its way onto the young cat's face. He watched his leader as he bumped into another cat that he didn't know.
He suddenly got the idea to try and sneak up on his leader. "Maybe if I show him how great of a stealthy warrior I am, he'll make me an apprentice sooner", he thought, as he slunk around the two cats. He slowly made his way around the two and waggled his haunches. With a "mighty roar", he leaped up and caught Arrowstar's tail between his paws. "Gotcha!" He purred with glee.

Arrowstar soon realized the cat he had run into was none other than his trusted deputy, Crystalbird. "Crystalbird. How goes things? I'm sorry I keep pushing work on you. Though, honestly, with camp so empty, I'm not sure how much work there is to do..." he said, trailing off at the end. He gave back a small smile, which was the only thing he could muster.
"Say do you-" Just as the leader began to suggest a hunting expedition, something grabbed his tail. The grayish leader gave a slight jump, a bit startled by the sudden touch. But, when he turned, he spotted that it was only a kit. He glanced at the other warrior, a slightly amused look on his face.
"I didn't realize that I was a play thing," he commented, pulling his tail from the kit's grip. "Who might you be?"

Crystalbird saw the tom-kit creeping up from behind Arrowstar, up to the sloppy pounce onto Arrowstar's tail with a purred cry of triumph. Her features morphed into a knowing grin. "Nah, it's fine. I don't mind it." Her own tail passively sweeping back and forth behind her. It was true, there not being much work to be done.
She lightly chuckled at Arrowstar's surprise at having been 'attacked.' Her grin widened. "Oh really? I should step up my game then." She might be the deputy, but she really didn't have it in her to paint herself as this serious, powerful figure. Nah, she'd rather be more down to earth, as approachable if immature and rather irritating. She should never be put up on a pedestal, so she freely expressed herself as someone who perhaps didn't quite fit their position.

Hollowkit purred as his leader appeared startled. "I'm Hollowkit," he said, watching the white she-cat's tail flick in the corner of his eye. He couldn't help but waggle his hindquarters again and leap onto her tail. He batted at it playfully, claws sheathed, and looked up at her. "Sorrelpatch doesn't let me practice pouncing on her tail, she says I should practice on mossballs," he said as he batted at her tail some more.
He stopped after a while and sat back on his haunches. "I'm ready to be an apprentice. The nursery is so crowded and boring," he complained, before jumping back on his feet. "I'm gonna be the best apprentice and warrior this camp has ever seen!" He vowed, puffing out his chest and looking at the two cats.

a she-kit watched with a chuckle. coming forward, she stopped in front of Arrowstar. "He can't be an apprentice yet! it wouldn't be fair! He's not 6 moons yet!" She complained. "oh, by the way, my name is Lilliekit!" the dapple she-kit held up her head with proud.
she tugged on a tussock of grass, pulling it out easily. "i can prove i'm going to be the best and most obedient warrior and apprentice! even though i'm hardly 2 moons, doesn't mean i'm not strong!" she attempted to leap onto Arrowstar's tail.
