Crystalglow walked into the nursery. She normally didn't come into the nursery unless a kit was sick but this was important.
Carrying with her, she had three glistening red berries. She kept them close, not wanting to drop them. "Kits gather round. I have something important to show you."

Mothkit ran over to Crystalglow. She looked at the red berries, wonder filling her eyes.

She set the berries on the ground, so they are in full view of the kits. "See these berries? They may look nice and tasty but they are very poisonous. So poisonous in fact that they are called deathberries." She looked up and swept her gaze at the kits. " Now usually we don't have problems with deathberries but currently the bushes that contain deathberries have been blooming everywhere. So I want you kits to be extra careful when you see these, got it?" She wasn't being severe just making sure that everyone got the message.

Leafkit looked at the red berries. They looked so juicy it was hard to believe that they were poisonous. "If these are everywhere couldnt we just kill the bushes?" She remembered playing with a tiny plant she found growing in the nursery and when she tugged at it two much it had ripped out of the ground. After that it died and hasnt grown back yet. "I mean just rip the plant out of the ground so that no one eats them? They do look pretty tasty."

She shook her head and pulled the berries closer to her. "You don't understand, the bushes are bigger than you. Even if you do manage to kill one bush, the spores will still be able to plant more."

She bowed her head, "Yes, Leopardfire. I came here to warn the kits of the danger that is befalling us. Fortunately Spiritstar and I thought of a bramble barrier over the entrance to catch the spores before the land in the camp."

Leafkit let out a slight purr as she felt Crystalglow's tail stroke her head. However her purr didnt last long as she heard her mother's shriek of horror. "Whats so terrifying about that?" she asked curiously. "If we all know not to eat them we should be fine right?"

Leafkit's ears laid back a little as her mother adressed the situation. *these berries must be awful for everyone to be making such a big fuss* she thought to herself. "Is there anything i can do to help?" she asked. She might not be an apprentice yet but she needed to be as helpful as possible if she was gonna be the best warrior ever! 'or at least in her mind she wanted to be'
