I wasn't really sure where to post this but I posted here because I assume it fits better than in the general board, if it does not, than you can move it. It's fine either way.
Anyway, I'm sure that you leader's get irritated by several people asking you to do ceremonies for them over messages or making boards in the leader's den, more so with the amount of people who join this site but what I feel is, the reason for that is due to the thing on the side that gives us our apprentice, warrior, and elder ages. It's a good plan but it falls through the cracks, as anything does. Nothing is ever perfect. But my suggestion, or thought, is why don't you just change that to the normal member star posts thing and when you (the leaders) find that person should become a warrior or apprentice, you make a ceremony, instead of lot's of people messaging you so their star status fits their name, sort of thing, but still, in a sense, going from kit to elder. That, or you could perhaps make a thread for that and when people's star's get to apprentice, they can just write that they are ready and when the leader's are ready they can make the ceremony threads.

The star/post thing is what makes VWW unique. Well, not anymore since everyone is COPYING it.
*Ahem*
We just ignore it. You get asked so many times and you know that the person isn't ready to be a warrior. When they ask, I ignore, get irritated, and then have an excuse not to give out very well put-together names. If I see a thread like that, I don't click it. When I see a message that will amount to that, I will click it to see if they have anything else to say, then I will ignore it. They know by now that I don't give ceremonies on time, they just choose to ignore it. (I'm talking about FireClan, here. xD)
Most of the time, the posts that the members decide to, well, post are just on the borderline of spam, or against some other rule. I know that most of the kits-needing-ceremonies need to sit down and read the rules. It takes me longer to do their ceremony than it does for me to do warrior ceremonies. My reason being that I need to mentor of the apprentice to tell me the cat is ready. With kits-needing-ceremonies, I get to decide whether they are mature enough to have ceremonies, and which mentor I get to give them, depending on their skills (ex. RP, rule knowledge, etc.).
We actually have been discussing boosting up the warrior post count thing again. Before, there were so many complaints of new warriors being demoted back down to apprenticeship level, but I personally liked it at a higher level for it took more time. Instead, people are become warriors in one or two days, which is annoying to us since that is double the ceremonies. Which is why we do different ways to get ceremonies in our clans. ^.^

Hm.. I just got an idea but I'm not sure where you guys can get the code.
Proboards Support has a code that in certain boards, you don't get a post count, for example, when you advertise. Some people get a good amount of post counts from talking in the general board or advertising, perhaps someone can find the code so that way you can only get a post count when roleplaying?

Hm. Do you know where the code is? If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to take a look at it, as I could possibly use it for my site. Maybe. And I'm also curious on how complicated it actually is, not saying that it's not complicated of course. Just want to see how complicated it is, I know I just repeated myself.
Otherwise, I do agree with Darkstar/You guys on raising the post level since with all the chatting people can do and what not, it's easier and makes people, like myself, impatient. d:
