[-Hey, guise! This thread is open to ALL cats-clans, kittypets, loners, and rogues. I only as that if you're a clan cat, you're older than an apprentice. Secondly, this is a literate thread, meaning, all posts should have, say...300? words OR MORE per post. =D Post any less than that, and KAPUT.-]
As Green Leaf was coming to an end, the mountains grew chillier and chiller with every new day. Each sunrise was a sign that the snow would soon fall, driving prey and herbs to death or new location. Too bad, however, that IceClan had already had a rough Green Leaf. With storms, wolf attacks, and an increase in IceClan members, the clan wasn't being supported enough, food-wise. Once Leaf Bare hit, it would be like taking a blow from an enemy claw, and being totally untrained and defenseless.
Wildstar, IceClan's leader, wasn't prepared to watch her clan flop, flail, and fail like a fish out of water, though. They still had the remainder of these last few warm days and Leaf Bare to stock up on herbs, and beef up. They needed to put some meat on their bones, and they needed to do it soon. IceClan's territory, however, just wasn't providing enough. They couldn't exactly go begging to the other clans, and exploring the land beyond the mountains was too risky. Instead, it was better to go to a...neutral...piece of territory-one that would be thought to be stocked with plenty of prey-to hunt.
And that place was the Shared Clearing; the location intended for the four clans to meet and gather on full moons to share news and be at peace with one another, socially and otherwise.
The sleek black cat raced down the stony, cold mountain from which the IceClan camp resides, and slunk past the RockClan border. Terrified with each paw step, Wildstar tried to hurry along discreetly to reach her destination. Although she had come close a few times, she made it through into FireClan territory.
Now she was no longer protected by rocks, boulders, cliffs, mountains, or trees. She had to somehow make it through all of FireClan's open, dry, hot plains, in order to get to the Shared Clearing. Cautiously and quietly, Wildstar stride through, crouching into the tall grass, hoping and praying to CloudClan to remain unnoticed. Finally, she reached the edge of the border, and made it free, without on encounter.
There she was in the Shared Clearing.
Now, only to go through all of that stress and trouble to get back to IceClan! Wildstar thought to herself. But before she could or would go anywhere, she would hunt. And she still wasn't safe; at any given moment, a cat could jump her. A few cats from RockClan and FireClan may have seen her; any could pick up her scent. For all she knew, TreeClan could have gotten a wiff too. Boy, wouldn't this one be tough to explain at the next gathering? Not to mention a loner or rogue-even a kittypet-could jump out for a battle!
All thoughts aside, Wildstar scented the air for prey. With a sniff here and a sniff there, she scented a rabbit. With a slow and steady croush, she was ready to pounce.
"Come to mama..." Wildstar said, quietly.

Sunblaze, who was looking for herbs just outside of rockclan territory caught a iceclan scent. Not just any iceclan scent, but Iceclan leader.
She followed the scent around the boarder of rockclan and down into the Shared clearing. What was the Iceclan leader doing here? Was she meeting someone? The orange cat thought to herself. She lowered herself to the ground and crawled into the clearing. Seeing no one right then. She got up. Licked her chest to calm herself down and walked through the clearing, letting her gaurd down. She decided to look for some herbs.
She breathed in deeply, still getting iceclan scent. She shook her head, telling herself that she was just imagining these things, Wildstar wasnt here oviously. She continued to look for herbs. She walked into a bush and picked some elder berrys, used for giving someone strength. Wrapping them in a leaf she put them down on the ground. She walked over to another bush and luckly, growing under it was catmint.
She picked as much as she could, laying it beside the elder berries. She kept searching for herbs, or intill she smelt the mouse. Automaticly she went into a hunting crouch, even though she was a medicine cat she was trained to hunt before she joined rockclan. She took a few slow steps forward making sure she didnt step on leafs, sticks or anything that would alert the mouse.
She waved her tail and pounced, landing perfectly on the mouse. She bit it, killing it instantly. She tossed it beside her pile of herbs, she breathed in deeply. Scenting rabbit she walked slowly towards it, She saw a flicker of black, followed by a strong scent. She couldnt tell what it was from here becuase of the strong sent of rabbit.
She continued to follow the rabbit intill the other sent over powered it, She looked towards the sent and saw a black cat. "Wildstar?"

Morningdew sulked by the Fireclan border, she had decided to walk to the Shared Clearing. Obviously just to stretch her legs fom being cooped up in camp since that tree fell on her a moon ago. "I hate that tree..."She muttered to herself passing though Fireclan territory. Looking quickly back and forth for any cats, her paws itched for her to get this over with. Soon she headed off, letting the breeze of leaffall blow through her long fur. She didn't want anyone too see her because everyone in camp was fussing over her and never let her leave. The prairie air was dusty but it was home to her,she swiftly dodged a dried out bush.
Seeing a squirrel,a rare catch at that, she stalked it slowly.Setting one graceful paw in front of the other, but looking down she saw a twig.Quickly she moved around it,her eyes on her prey again. It sat cleaning itself, scurrying around the dry prairie floor. Finally close enough in range she lunged at it,it squirrmed making the kill mess. But hey? This ws her first hunt in a moon so she was a bit rusty. Eating it silently and a bit fast she stood up and headed off again.
Now she saw shared clearing, but hissed at the smell of Iceclan and Rockclan for that matter. Another scent hit her nose but she followed the Rockclan first...only to find Sunblaze collecting herbs. "Hello Sunblaze, don't worry i only came to stretch my legs." She curtly nodded and followed the other scent, leading to the Iceclan cat. A black female with blue eyes...wait a minute was that?No it couldn't be...she had killed a rabbit on practicly one of the other clan's territory. "Wildstar?" She asked.,tilting her head a bit at seeing the Iceclan leader here. Morningdew stepped out so she could see her, hoping it wasn't what it looked like.

In her tracks, Wildstar stopped, letting the rabbit hop away at a high speed in fear and fury. Without so much as one more thought for prey, Wildstar looked around her, and took it all in. She scented the air, listened for sounds, tasted the smells, felt the ground, and looked at the site before her; cats. Other cats. Clan cats. Here. In the Shared Clearing.
IceClan's persnickety leader was now caught red pawed before RockClan's medicine cat, and a FireClan warrior, by the smell. And had there been a trace of a TreeClan cat as well? Either way, they all questioned Wildstar's motives. They all were a bit disturbed that a leader, a seasoned fighter, respectable clan member--an figure of authority in its highest form--was scrounging one some other territory. Not only could this tarnish Wildstar's reputation, but every cat in IceClan's as well.
Wildstar held a gave with Sunblaze for a moment, then flickered to the FireClan warrior. She clawed the dirt beneath her paws for a moment, stirring up words and thoughts in her brain, trying to make a valid excuse. Simply saying that IceClan was currently starving and that it was only going to get worse would not only make IceClan look like a clan of beggars, but show that they are weak, and an easy target.
But there she was, standing there. They had all seen her try to kill a rabbit. Why she was there and what she was doing was obvious. But how could she justify it? Coat it with catnip so it sounded better...? Wildstar pondered this for a moment, but a short one, because everyone was anxious.
"I..." Wildstar started. "I am hunting here, yes. Because our clan is still suffering from the avalanche and wolf attack. We have plenty of prey to support already healthy cats, but since we're still recovering from sharing with FireClan, we need to stock up, on more..."
Oh no, Wildstar thought. That may have been the worse thing I could have said!
She waited anxiously for their reaction. She tried to keep a clam, almost smug, expression on her face.

Moonshadow strode over to Wildstar and Morningdew, earing the rucuss amongst the two. "Dear one, Wildstar was meerly chasing a rabbit that hopped over the border onto RockClan territory. There was no harm intended in this meer gesture." She lied cooly, covering Wildstar. She sat beside her leader and curled her tal neatly around her paws. Manipulateing was Moonshadows' speacialty.
"I ensure you this will never happen again." She said, putting on a fake grin. Yes, Moonshadow was a good liar and she hoped the cats would buy it. Bu, what of Sunblaze? Sunblaze was avery clever Medicine Cat who could rarely be outsmarted. She knew this from experience, she just ied thrugh her teeth hopeing the cats from the opposing Clans wold buy it.
A sigh breeze rippled her coat and she could sense the tension building in the air, it wouldn't overwhelm Moonshadow though. She kept her cool, lying to these cats was harder than it looked. Her and Wildstar couldn' take fleet from these Clans, no not in their condition. Perhaps, Wildstar could but no, not Moonshadow.
She had come late to share land with FireClan when te avlanche an wolves came. So, she had to scavenge off a few of their meals and run from them if caught. But the worst of that was over now despite her poor state. Even her leader, by the looks of it, had a few bare ribs sticking out. If the lie was bought, her and Wildstar were home free...for now.

A faint breeze ruffled the dark grey tabby's pelt, as he trotted along the RockClan border. Ever since RockClan had settled back into their camp, things had begun to run smoothly again. All the cat's had once again fallen into their normal routines, like patroling, and such. But the one slight problem was prey, it seemed to be scarce when the Clan had came back. Probably thanks to those mangy wolves... The wolves had definately left their mark on the territory, no literally. There were many piles of wolf dung lieing around, attracting all sorts of creatures. But who would expect a wolf to have the decency to bury it, cat's were much more refined that way. These thoughts were running through Batclaw's head as he was searching for prey, quite a multi-tasker.
A mouse scuttled across his line of vision, forcing him to drop into a well practiced hunter's crouch. The tabby tom waited for it to come to a halt in a clump of grass before striking. He glided across the rough terrain, paws not making a sound. When he came within a few mouselengths, he bunched his muscles then pounced. A soft thud, a little squeak then silence. He had killed it with ease.
With his mission accomplished he turned to make the long stroll back to camp, but a somewhat familiar scent reached his nostrils. Could he be correct in assuming IceClan? A low growl rose in his throat as he set down the mouse to investigate. The IceClan cat would regret ever setting paw on his territory.
As he ambled along, following the scent trail his steps began to slow as he recognized where he had been taken too. The Shared Clearing stood before his inquisitive green eyes, he surely must have been mistaken about scenting a IceClan cat. Yet it seemed even stronger here. Finally curiousity got the better of the tom, and he trodded onward.
The sight before him was enough to stop him right in his very tracks. Three cat's were esembled together each from a different Clan. The first to his utter shock Wildstar, proud leader of IceClan. Any cat could recognize her by her sleek jet black pelt. What was she doing here? The next a FireClan warrior whom he didn't recognze, and the last his Clan's medicine cat Sunblaze. "Wildstar?" He simply asked confusion clouding his green eyes.

She twitched her ear and jerked her head in the firmiliar direction to see an old friend and love, "Batclaw?" She murmurred, now wasn't the time to go all emotional on the tom since I probubly already scared the crap out of him. Now probubly wouldn't be the best time to say How's the prey running. That was the only small talk she could really process.
The breeze ruffled her fur too and she sivered slightly. She looked as though she'd seen a ghost at the sight of Batclaw. She felt an Awkward moment coming on, well it wasn't every day you saw one of Moonshadows' former loves. She twitched her tail, now feeling very uncomfortable. She blinked, only one small talk sentance seemed to reach her mind right now.
Of course she still had a few feelings for the tom, all females did. Even if she had moved on, she murmurred quietly. "How are you?" How cheesy, this was an all to common phrase which would be cut short when he said fine. It could possibly become interesting if he said he wasn't fine. But hey, all small talk had the same reply, right?
Her pelt grew hot and she took and uncomportable shuffle backwords while sitting. She dug her needle sharp claws into the ground. Something slipped her mind and came out in words, "How's Splashfoot?" she asked. She wanted to take the words back, but it was too late. She'd already said them. She felt entirely uncomfortable but happy to see him again.
Honestly, what was with Moonshadow and falling in love? It seemed like she fell in love alot but she always got crushed in the end. She fell in love to easy. She lashed her tail, angry with herself. She looked down at her paws, a mixture of embaressment, happyness, and anger mixing within her core.
She wasn't angry with him, but herself. She felt like she was weak.

ShameClaw was passing through the forest. Very bored. He decided to take the long way of returning to the darkpoool. But as he reached the Shared Clearing he heard comotion. He stepped into the Shared clearing. Hoping that since he was a spirit they couldn't see him passing through. However due to their closeness to CloudClan the leader and the medicine cat could if they wanted to.
He had encountered this leader before however and they hadn't gotten along to well. All in all he blamed it on DashHunt and got him killed. He wondered if the leader had put two and two together yet. And if she had put two and two together if she knew who exactly did it besides DashHunt, and if she did, or should've felt any grief. If she hadn't yet figured it out he hoped she wouldn't know. Due to being close to CloudClan either one could excorcise him by actually fighting him. He just hopd they didn't know that. It was pure luck that he managed to get away when fighting DashHunt's spiritual form.
He could still hear DashHunt's words burning in his memory. "I will never become a spector like you. I will find a way into CloudClan and I will get them to let me excorcise you for good!" This made even ShameClaw afraid. Before DashHunt could do that or any leaders or medicine cats could excorcise him he had to be reincarnated or possess a cat. He just hoped he could make it to the end of this great big corcle. However to get to the end of a circle you must create an exit. That was exactly what he planned on doing. Though his plan might fail. And he'd be either back at square one, or it'd be over. Forever.
(Not sure if that's 300 words or not if it's not I will edit it until I get it right XD.)

Morningdew lashed her tail at Moonshadaw arriving, she had met her at the last gathering. This was a rare sight indeed, the Iceclan Leader,a Fireclan warrior,a Iceclan warrior,Rockclan's Medicine cat,and what was this? She asked herself as the grey tom strode up...he was handsome sure but stank of Rockclan.Great so im outnumbered by two Iceclan cats and two Rockclan cats....just great.Just wait and a Treeclan warrior would end up here too! Looking at Moonshadow right in the eye she hissed,it was obvious that was a lie. "Then why did a find this in Fireclan territory?" She unhooked a patch of fur from her claw,it was black and sure enough had Wildstar's scent.
"Don't lie,the truth is always more interesting."She noticed the obvious tension between Moonshadow and the tom. "So whats your name?"Directing her question to Batclaw.Lashing her tail back and forth, her leg obviously still in that awkward positon. It healed that way. She growled at seeing Shameclaw. "I think we have visitor..." She said read to spring and lash out at any moment.
Lieing was a bad habit for some.Others it was a talent, naturally good. But Moonshadow here was ok at it,but evidence proved her little lie wrong. Morningdew only lied a couple times as an apprentice, for pranks on Hawktalon of course. But it was weird nd unexplainable why the Iceclan leader was standing before her in the Shared Clearing. Also weird was that others had gathered here after seeing the leader. But a fight could start at any moment with these cats.
"What do you want?"She growled rather viciously at the "rouge". He wasn't welcome here on clan territory at all."Who are you?"She added wanting to rip his fur off but held the urge back.Glancing at all the others she saw tension rising as their fur stood on end. Good If he left on his own great! But most likely they would have to interrigate him and then chase him off.

She rolled her eyes. "That's obviouslly from when IceClan had to camp in FireClan territory WITH permission from Darkstar, this is the truth and part of it is hooked in your feeble claws." She mocked, most of the tension in the air leaving.
She twitched her tail, "Perhaps, when you get real evidence you can show it to me but nice try. Didn't you notice this was the same passage IceClan left through? This was the safest way and I know what your assuming. Why return? Weel, to that I assure you there's an easy awnser. Wildstar was marking the borders here more and she must have missed the FireClan border thanks to the extra snow fall lately."
She paused, "Don't forget the wolves have been here to, so even if she could have smelt it through the snow this wolf stench must've covered it up real good. Now, I know you can't argue with that so I think we'll be on our way." She said, it was true she could lie even better before. That tuft of fur gave her the idea that she thought of quickly.
Moonshadow only lied in tight jams, any more than that and she wouldn't have any friends. She paused for a reply from the possibly speechless FireClan cat. She looked over to Wildstar, my eyes indicating for her to play along. "Isn't that right, Wildstar?" Either she just covered her leader, or she just made the situation worse...

Surprise flickered in the depth's of Batclaw's eyes, of all the cat's he had expected to see he hadn't thought it would be Moonshadow. She seemed rather aggitated as she scuffled her paw's across the ground. The two had some history together, and yes a little romance. But that was it, though he couldn't help but feel a little nervous as well.
The RockClan warrior felt a little mousebrained just standing there out in the open so he sat down situating himself beside Sunblaze. As it was far more comfortable then beside a rival Clan cat. For a few moments he just sat there keeping his piercing gaze on Wildstar. Then to his utter surprise Moonshadow asked him two questions.
Under the circumstances he found it rather odd that they would start up friendly banter. For he was solely here to find out why Wildstar appeared to be hunting in the Shared Clearing, there had to be a logical explanation. Now he didnrealize they had undergone the same hardships as RockClan, but did they find Venomstar hunting on sacred ground. No he had more dignity then that.
But Batclaw realized that he should answer Moonshadow's question fornthe sake of being polite. "We're both fine, Moonshadow." He replied voice laced with politeness. Yes, the answer she had expected to hear had been said. But who would expect him to say differently in the presence of sonmany different cat's
The fur on his neck rose, when he noticed a rouge amongst them. "What are you doing here? He hissed green eyes flaring with anger. If it was a fight ShameClaw wanted it was a fight he would get.
Then to Batclaw's annoyance the FireClan she-cat piped up and asked him his name. Why did it matter? "My name's Batclaw." He simply replied.

Thoughts raced through Sunblazes mind like a tornato. She shook her head, There could be many possible reasons Wildstar was in the shared clearing. She could be waiting for someone. Hunting, or anything else. Sunblaze looked around at all the new cats, after a glare a Moonshadow she rested her gaze on Batclaw. "What are you doing here?!" She growled at Batclaw.
Without giving him a chance to respond, she stomped up to wildstar but still a couple cat lenghts away and bared her teeth. "Thats not fair, Since when are we aloud to hunt here for our clans? Is that how you have survived the last couple leafbare's?" She flattened her ears, so angry she was about to attack the IceClan leader.
She glared at Wildstar. Her head started to pound, and she wanted to blurt out accusations at this black cat, standing not that far from her. All she wanted to do was lash out a paw and smack the leader in the face. But she knew, that Wildstar might also ask her why she was here. Well, The response to that would be easy "I followed you scent, it disapeared so i decided to get some herbs" she thought in her mind.
Herbs were the same as prey, the clan needed them to survive. Plus she caught a mouse, She hoped Wildstar wouldn't notice. She let her gaze wander behind her where Batclaw and the she-cat were standing. But she quickly looked back at Wildstar so she wouldn't try to escape. Should she bring this up at the next gather? Or tell her leader? Or not? She thought about it. Then decided to threaten the leader with it even thought she might not care. "What are you gunna do when all the clans find out?" She snarled at wildstar

Morningdew hissed at Moonshadow's reply."Your lieing, this scent is fresh. Very fresh, way too fresh to be from when they left." This was annoying her that all the cats seem very agitated. Seeing that Batclaw was nervous around Moonshadow she guessed they had some past together. Ignoring there petty conversation she joined Sunblaze in Wildstar's personal space.
"Yes what will the other clan's think?Hearing that a dignified leader like yourself being on territory that is not yours."She hissed a bit at the end. Lashing her tail again, this time it snagged a bush and as she struggled getting it out she looked around at the cats looking at her. Once she freed herself she stood up straightly again and gave Moonshadow a look that said. Say one word and i shred you.
Her claws sliding in and out, wanting to shed Moonshadow's ears now. Batlclaw simply responded his name in an annoyed tone. Turning to him she simply said."Im Morningdew, now that this oh so wonderful greeting is over..."She turned back to the Iceclan cats, her fur bristling. Claws digging at the earth beneath them. But she held herself back from attacking such a cocky and arrogant she-cat.
Waiting for their response she looked around, the cold leaffall wind breezing through her fur. The leaves turning colors, and leaffall slowly approaching. Hopefully ending the dreadfull storms like the one that injured her.Memories of that night raced back into her mind...she tried shaking them away but that failed. She remembered her mindsplitting scream...the crunch of her leg and back. The searing pain, her tasting death...Hawktalon mourning for her thinking she was gone....Her apprentice devastated, and every other cat. She knew she was loved by her clan.
Snapping back to reality she put her gaze back to the Iceclan cats. Her fur still bristling, she laid it flat. Not even caring for Moonshadow's next lie. Oh goody! She thought sarcasticly as she licked her paw bringing it over her face.

Froststripe, deciding to head out alone from the camp to hunt. Just some me time. He was going to catch a few mice or possibly a rabbit or squirrel. He decided just to be by him-self a Little longer there was no reason not to go out a little ways into the territory. This was in fact a very god excuse to get away from the whole camp issue's. As he was paw wing out towards the direction of rock clan border he remembered that he needed to get some supplies. Picking some sticks up and feathers here and there. Spotting a good mud hole for cats to get some later. You couldn't be to prepared for something that could possibly end lives. Especially young lives that didn't even know the meaning of living yet. Not ever getting the chance to hunt or fight for the clan. The loyalty that came with it. It was all just such a good feeling and he feels very sorry and sad for the people who don't feel this or never even get the chance to.
Bringing the sticks and feathers back to a spot close to the camp and heading back out towards the rock clan border once more, he sniffed the air. After a few seconds he caught a fresh scent. A nice fat mouse, but it was right by its hole. He wondered if he could possibly get it. He circled it to where he was behind it. He bent down and he Left off. Unfortunately right as he went to pounce the mouse saw his movement and immediately darted into the small hole. "Mouse dung" he said. He smelt the air once more catching a faint scent of rabbit and then... Squirrel! He looked around spotting it immediately. He didn't hesitate at all darting after it, it was caught off guard. Hesitation was the key in this catch and the rabbit had lots of it. It got no exhilaration and it was only about a four or five second chase. He out the rabbit behind a nice medium sized rock he brought his attention bac to going out further away from the camp...
Once he reached the rock clan border. Why not mark while I'm here? Its not like its bad, I'm doing things to help the clan. He told himself although he knew he should of been doing it with someone. But he needed a break. From all of it. Not so much stress, not really at all, he just figured he needed this. He began marking the border up towards the shared clearing and then once it became with in eye sight. It surprised him to see wild star along with sun blaze and moon shadow, bat claw, and morning dew. He had seen them at the recent full moon gatherings. This obviously wasn't a 'meeting' so he went over to wildstar commenting. "Whats going on?" he asked not hearing any of the conversation
