Flamewatcher was up late and he bacame very tired. He decided to go to sleep. he curled up into his nest next to Firelight and fell asleep. He opened his eyes and felt a little breeze ruffle his fur. He was in a dark place that was silent. No birds singing, no scents of prey, no hunger, no nothing. He felt lonely. He began walking towards tree trunk and saw a cat walk out. He was a black cat with huge icy blue eyes. He padded over to Flamewatcher and said something that he could barely hear. "What did you say? I can't understand you!" he he said. Before the two cats could say anything else, a huge shreik broke out. Both cats whipped around to see a white cat running away from a dark figure that was chasing the cat. The cat looked like Flamewatcher but smaller. He looked closer and realized who it was. Redpaw. Flamewatcher screamed out at Redpaw but the white cat didn't hear him. He kept calling to him but nothing. Redpaw was still running when he tripped and fell over. He was about to get up but the dark figure got closer and unseathed its claws. He could not tell what the figure was becuase it was all black. But before he could think anymore, it slammed down it's massive paw and raked is claws across his brother flank leaving a huge gash. he heard a giant wail and he stood frozen. "No..... Redpaw!" Flamewatcher wailed. He ran as fast as he could to his brother. When he reached him, the black figure was gone and Redpaw was dead. "No.... What is this?! Why are you showing me this?" he mewed terrified. He whipped around and the black cat was gone. Even its icy stare. He looked at Redpaw again and he fell over wailing outloud with pain and sorrow and the feeling of loss. "What is this all about?" he cried. He closed his eyes and aftefr a heartbeat, he woke up panting and scared to death.
