I have been wanting to write a book for a while now, but haven't had the time to even start. Please, please critique it! I'll Love you forever if you do! This is an idea forming!
The night wind blew into my face as I ran, causing me to slow down. In this case, that wasn't a good thing. Speed was everything. Speed and not falling and twisting my ankle, that is.
I'll tell you one thing, running through the woods during the blackest part of night is not the best thing to do. But when you are running for your life, it is the best thing to do. It seemed as if I had been in this position one to many times, even though this was my first.
As I ran, branches whipped my face, stinging it. Speed. Get some distance between me and them as fast as possible. My feet pounded on the ground as I raked my brain for an idea. Some way to get going faster.
That's when the idea hit me.
I guess the adrenalin can do something to your common sense sometimes. Take now for instance. There I was, running for my life, and not using what I could!
I closed my eyes and jumped into the air. I felt the familiar tingling start all throughout my body. My arms became longer as my legs shrunk. Thick black fur started to cover my body. My ears became pointed and shifted to the top of my head as my jaw lengthened. A tail burst out from where my human tail bone was.
I hit the ground on all four paws ans took off at a dead run. My paws churned up the ground as I gained speed fast. Why I hadn't thought of it before was beyond me. Sometimes common sense doesn't kick in at the right times.
I mean, come on. A wolf is much faster than a human.
