Help I got a thorn! (And coughing)

Poppypaw limped into the Medicine den."Fernpelt. I have a Thorn in my pad." She said and lifted her paw to reveal a big thorn lodged in her pad."And i kinda have a cough too." She coughed a little bit.

Fernpelt rushed over to Poppypaw, alarmed. She had just been roused from sleep, and hearing an apprentice making a racket didn't quite clear her brain totally.

"What? Thorn? Oh, be still," Fernpelt mewed, tugging the thorn firmly. It came out, and a fresh guh of blood streamed forth.

"Lick it," she commanded the young one.

She licked it rapidly,but coughing made her spasm,but she continued.

[Fernpelt]

Fernpelt had just realized that the young apprentice also had a cough. "Here, I'll get you some tansy," she said to Poppypaw while rummaging through her herb stores. She finally emerged with a sprig of teh precious herb, and set it by Poppypaw's feet.

"Eat it when the blood starts to ebb."

[poppypaw]

She ate it but made a face at the taste but finished it."Thank you Fernpelt." She dipped her head.

[Fernpelt]

"No problem. No run along, little 'un. Things to do, things to do," she mewed, giving the apprentice a wave of her tail. She felt a wave of affection for Poppypaw, such a responsible apprentice. "Now, Swiftwish..."
