I bounced in following a moss ball. The herb scent filled my nose. *Uh, oh.* I thought. I sniffed carefully around the herbs. I smelled honey. I dipped a claw in a small splatter. I licked my claw carefully. *It could use a bit of cleaning up around here,* I thought mostly to myself. So, I decided to clean it up a bit. I rounded up the moss and put it in a neat pile. I swept my tail around. *There, that looks much better!* I thought proudly. I bounded outside and washed my paws carefully. I looked up to hear pawsteps approaching.

Sunblaze walked up to Ivykit. "Hello" She waved her tail, noticing that the kit had cleaned her den. Her whiskers twitched in amusment.

"Hello, I'm Ivykit!" I mewed warmly. I ssaw her whiskers twitch in amusement when she saw the clean den. *Oops, missed a spot!* I thought. I ran over and sorted the herbs in which I thought the right piles. *That one goes there,* I thought. I pushed a red berry into an identical pile. *This one goes there,* I thought excited. I pushed a green leaf of catmint into the right pile. When I was done. I washed my face off and got rid of the scent of herbs. I was suddenly aware of her staring at me. I paused in mid-lick and looked up at her eyes.

She blinked at the kit. "Well. Thankyou!" She smiled catlike, lips pulling over her teeth. She gave the kits head a quick lick. "That was very nice of you."

I blushed. "Your welcome!!!" I mewed, embarrased. "I just like to help." I mewed quickly.

She purred happily. "You should be having your apprentice ceremony soon. Your the right size" She tried to make small talk.

"I'm not worried!" I mewed breaking my depressed trance. "I just can't wait to be an apprentice! Wait, about my sibling Firepaw, um, will her leg ever grow back?" I mewed worried about my cousin. I pranced around in a circle merrily. "Chrstmas time is almost here!!" I mewed joyfully in a singsong voice.

She flicked her ears. "Time will tell little one." Sunblaze sighed. She went to the entrance and looked up into the sky. "I wonder when first snow will fall."

"Probably around the beginning of Leafbare." I mewed. I had stopped prancing and was now sweeping the floor again. I took the herbs and at least tried to put the herbs into the right spots in Sunblaze's den. (When will the next spots be open for medicine cats? Cause I was thinking about being one on this account.)

Ivykit got most of the herbs right. So Sunblaze left them the way she put them.

(It okay. just wondered.) I giggled at her blank face. I wanted to play. I pranced again. Weaving like a snake behind her, I landed on her back playfully.

Sunblaze knew the kit was playing right away, because she wasnt using her claws. So she shook her body lightly, making sure if the kit fell it wouldn't be hard.

I jumped off lightly and danced around. "I'm an apprentice now!!" I sang. I danced off towards the apprentice den, shouting, "I'm an apprentice!!"
