Featherkit waited for the new kit in the nursery.She wanted to make friends with this kit and play with him.She sat down and licked a paw.She had her rose she got from Daisykit behind her ear it was a beatuiful red rose.

The small kit huddled in the corner of the Nursery simply gazing at the kit with his odd colored eyes. His left eye was a deep chocolate brown while the other was an icy blue color. The sight of the she-kit made his fur fluff up in fright and his eyes became round with dismay.

Some would say that Pouncekit appeared to be normal taking on the same scrawny appearance of most kit's as well as being equipped with fluffy grey kitten fur. Yet his eyes alerted others to his peculiar mindset or to be more lrecise is eoukd in the future. As he gazed at the she-kit before him he somehow was certain she was a minature badger sent to kill him.

"A. Badger." He yowled his voice high and squeaky. "Don't you dare come any closer or I'll be forced to slay you." He warned in an equally serious voice letting out a kit-like hiss while unsheathing his little ebony flaws which could barely shrewd a decaying leaf let alone a cat.

Featherkit looked at the little kit."Oh I'm not a badger,hun.I'm a kit jsut like you."She took a step forward."i promise I won't hurt you I just want to be your friend."She mewed lightly.

[thunderfall]

All this was to much for his little brain to comprehend so he blocked out her words just staring at her in disbelief. This badger was talkin gibberish yet he could understand it. Either he could now speak badger or this little badger could speak cat. His ears pricked forward and he frowned at her. "Badger's aren't supposed to speak with cat's. How can you?!" He demanded staying where he was.

"Cause I'm not a badger Pouncekit.I'm a kit just like you.Do i look like a big black badger to you?"She asked.

This was out rageous how could this beast standing before him not be a badger? It was unthinkable to even conside rthe option. Wait, how in CloudClan's name did she know his own name? The little tom was becoming spooked now mouth agape in awe. She must be able to read minds. "I know for a fact that you are a badger. Don't try to deny it!" He meowed then his different colored eyes narrowed in suspicion. "I'm onto your little secret. I know you can read minds." He continued tail swish to and fro.

At this he gave her a smug smile seemingly satisfied with himself for unearthing the truth.

"Pouncekit trust me my name is featherkit.I have other kit friends."She mewed.

Now his fear was fading away to be replaced by boredom. What was the point in lying about her identity? The fact she was a dward badger was soooo obvious even he could tell.~ He rolled his eyes not biding into her lies at all. "Yeah,right. And my tails a snake!" He shot back sarcatically.

Then he froze eyes wide as he glanced at his tail. It was thin like a snake, and seemed to slither on the Nursery floor like a snake would. In reality the poor kit was just swishing it across the ground yet he didn't know that. "It's a snake. It really is a snake. My tail is a snake!" He shrieked his previous thoughts forgotten at the new discovery.

How could he survive if his tail was a snake? Only time would tell.

Featherkit looked at it.She stared at it in the eye."Snakes huh?As tails?That's impossible."She said.

There she went again telling him all sorts of things that were not true. He was beginning to not like this badger. It would have been wise to slay her while he had a chance. But now it was to late mainly because he was to lazy to actually walk over to her and well slay her. "It. Is. A. SNAKE." He said slowly so she would understand.

"Hmmm a snake.Well it doesnt scare me.Now shoo snake!"She hissed.

He cringed at her imitation of a cat's hiss. Wow, this badger sure wanted to be like a cat. This really didn't surprise him after all she could communicate to him, so why not act like a cat herself? Maybe she could convince others she was a cat but not him, never him.

"It's not working." He whispered to her in a low tone, gazing at his swishing tail in horror. "Do you think it will listen, eventually?!" He practically pleaded not asked treating his tail as if it had a mind of it's own.

"Pouncekit for the last time I'm a kit!"She hissed and spat.She then glared at the snake."You better get out of here before I kill you."She hissed again.

Echokit watched their wierd talking.
..Wha..? Featherkit's a badger!?
Since she was still young, she was drawn to believe non-realistic things, like this for example.

Scorchkit lifted his head from his nest, hissing in agrivation. This Pouncekit had been going on about badgers and snakes, Featherkit wasnt helping much. The young black tom had enough sense to go over and cuff them both on the head, but he did not.

"Will you two be quiet! You're scaring the younger kits with your mousebrained talk!" He hissed again, ears flattening against his head. Silver-blue eyes stared at the two obnacious kits, coldly.

Scorchkit reached over, laying his tail tip on Echokit's shoulder gently, "Dont worry little one, there's no badgers or snakes here." He said in a softer tone.

He laid his head back down, but kept an eye on the other two. If they so much as peep another sound about badgers and snakes, he would cuff them so hard, they would be dizzy for moons.
