Thunder rippled through the early evening, sending a wave of chills up the spine of the valley dwellers. A storm was on the rise, and it was beginning to sprinkle.
A fair skinned lady with natural red, curly hair was walking through the valley in the light, misty rain, eyes closed, but fully aware of her surroundings. Or so she thoght...
She loved the nature and the weather. She loved them both at their best and at their worst. She breathed in the heavy air, and sighed as the raised her arms, living in the moment.
Even in the rise of a great storm, the woman felt peaceful.
But her relaxed sensation was cut short, when an ominous buzz in the distance disrupted her thoughts.
It didn't sound natural...it sounded loud, unusual, and destructive. The woman racked her brain trying to think of what it could be, but came up with nothing.
Too frightened to turn and see what it was, too frightened to move an inch forward, too frightened to sink to the ground for safety, she remained perfectly still like a deer in headlights, paralyzed by fear.
The buzzing grew louder, and louder...so loud in fact, that the vibrations were not only being absorbed by her eardrums, but by every bone in her body. She was trembling, her arms still spread as if she was a bird ready to take flight.
Straining to identify the entity that lurked behind her, she heard breathing. Breathing so sharp and heavy that she knew there was a human behind her. What the buzzing was, she did not know, and she did not make en effort to think of what it could possibly be. But the human and his buzzing machine stayed behind her.
She could feel his breath on her bare back. She could feel the coolness of something nearing the skin on her body.
Her heart started racing. It was a racecar, zooming down the track as if losing the competition would result in death.
Love dove. Love dove. Love dove. Love dove.
Her heart just kept pounding away. Her heart was hammering her blood through her veins and arteries at 100 miles per hour. Her breathing was short and raspy. Even in the cool rain--which had now become more heavy--she broke out into a cool sweat. Her hands were shaking, and her body was ice cold and numb. The lady was always pale, but now she looked like Casper the Ghost.
Then suddenly, she felt something icy cold on her back, cutting through her layers of skin...layers of tissue...layers of muscle. Blood was splattering everywhere, and the air wreaked of iron.
The woman shrieked and cried tears of pain. She tried to run, but she was so nervous and shaky that she tripped over her own foot.
Lying on the ground in a fetal position, she peaked up and caught a glimpse of the man. He wore a trench coat and a fedora hat, and had a pair of aviators on to cover his face. He looked down at her, and the edge of his mouth curled into a coy smile. He raised his machine--which the woman now identified as a chainsaw--into the air, and slammed it down on her.
The woman saw her life flashing before her eyes as she screamed, cried, and lied there. She knew that moving would only make her inevitable death more painful, so she stayed in place.
The rapidly turning blades were cutting her body in half. They were grinding her bones into a fine dust. But somehow, she was still clutching to her life, like a chicken running around after its head was chopped off.
Weak and in agonizing pain, the woman was motionless. She couldn't move; her spinal cord was being sawed in half with a gas powered tool. Nothing made sense. Nothing was there. She wasn't there...all she saw was a bright white light that was coming closer, and closer. Suddenly, she started losing all sensations; the pain was evaporating, the wetness of the rain and blood fading away. The bright light engulfed her.
And there lied her lifeless body, on the bloodstained grass. Already it was being cleansed by the pure rain.
The man turned off his chainsaw, and threw it aside. Feeling accomplished, he laughed, and dropped. Dead.
