The shadows moved around like fish in water. Mist swirling around the sleeping body of a defenseless kit. Emerald eyes blazed in the dreams of the young. Blasts of death circled the weak. There was no escape. The black and gray sky laughing at the night. All color was drained from the world.

Emeraldkit woke up in her nest. The sun's rays shined through the brambles in the nursery. She had again slept on her nest of snow. Emeraldkit stretched and thought about her dream. Its just a nightmare. She thought to herself. Right now Emeraldkit just needed comfort from her best friend.

Echokit heard Emeraldkit rustling in her nest, and lifted her head up instantly.
She padded over and prodded her with a petite silver paw.
"Are you okay Emeraldkit?"

Emeraldkit looked up at Echokit."I'm fine Echokit. Do you know where Sleekkit is? I need to talk to him." She meowed a bit frightened. Emeraldkit didn't want to talk about her dream with Echokit. She needed her best friend's point of view on this.

Sleekkit heard his friend's awakening. He Yawned and stretched trying to awaken him-self. Sleekkit padded up to Her and mewed, "Are you alright?" Sleekkit asked concern rising in his voice. He reaptedly blinked trying to knock the sleep out of his eyes.

Sleekkit's eyes widened with horror, he knew what this was. The puzzle pieces had been placed. The War of the Clans, and the sudden death of the FireClan warrior Crescenteye. The Father was coming. Sleekkit's neck fur bristled with anxity. "The Father is Coming, I cannot tell you anymore" He mewed trotting away with haunted eyes. |

Emeraldkit stared in horror after her friend. She was nervous. "Wait! I am scared! Does it have anything to do with me?" She meowed. Emeraldkit's fur stood up. A twig cracked behind her but it was just her foot. Emeraldkit stood there petrified.
