*I'd like advice from experienced artists... more on the bottom) Behold Splotch, the awful example kitty. I recently started trying to draw, starting with sketches. Thing is, I'm losing inspiration and am just plain lazy nowadays. I need encouragement to finish these. So I need requests. UNLIMITED slots. I will never close this thread. Why? Because I want to improve my drawing skills. And that can only be done with practice. I'm not naturally gifted at art, however much I might want to be. I have good grammar naturally. Not good art. Anyway, when you request you get two photos- one black and white, and one color. The black and white I will upload before attempting to color in the cat. Please note that I can only really do headshots/upper bodies, and am still practicing with that before I move on. IF YOU HAVE A REFERENCE PIC, THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE FORM. I DO FURSONAS AS WELL. COAT COLOR: EYE COLOR: MARKINGS: ITEMS: LONGHAIR/SHORTHAIR: HEADSHOT/UPPER BODY: *I CAN ALSO DO HUMANS. I'm best at the face and neckline- again, my bodies are awful- but I'll see what I can do. JUST GIVE ME A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THEIR APPEARANCE AND EMOTION. Experienced artists: What methods do you guys use for drawing cat or human bodies and hands? When it comes to bodies they look awkward and lifeless for me, and when it comes to hands they end up looking like little bumps on a circle or the extra arms of Slender Man. Any advice on what to use/guides and such would really be helpful. Dx Attachments:

Shadeh, I feel really bad for you. I'm doing this just for you. And, your first request.
Though I'm not really experienced, I am advanced. I have some advice. When you do the body, just draw parentheses. Only, larger and bigger. I draw my cats good like that. When you draw the paws, just draw the front paws unless you want a standing picture. I can draw you a picture, just fill out this form:
Name: Name on pic: Saying(s): Pelt Color: How long your fur is: Eye Color: Pose: Background: Gender:
If you want an art trade, that's fine with me. Please accept this. If you do, I'll keep yours forever.
