Minkheart wandered around the clearing, frowning. She was a young warrior, with an apprentice. "Come on Maypaw." She grumbled. She hissed in frustration and padded towards the clearing. There, she trained her apprentice, just then, Volestar called a meeting. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath High Log for a Clan meeting!" He yowled. Just then, She bounded up to Volestar. "Maypaw is ready for her warrior ceremony." She whispered in her ear. Volestar nodded and Minkheart leaped down. "Maypaw, you are ready to become a warrior. Will you defend your life for your clan at all costs?" "I do." "I now name you Mayapple. Jaykit, you are ready to become an apprentice. I name you Jaypaw! Mayapple will be your mentor. Thunderkit, you are ready to become an apprentice. I name you Thunderpaw. Minkheart will be your mentor. I have one final announcement before you leave to your dens. Minkheart, you are ready to be a deputy. Will you stand beside me to make orders with me?" "I do." "I now name you our deputy" Volestar said. I put her muzzle onto Minkheart's head while she licked her shoulder respectfully. She clambered onto the log and was ready to be once more Volestar's apprentice.
