Alas! Streampaw caught a scent and dashed for it with such speed not wanting to be emptied pawed,it was another rabbit hoping about in this blended snow,her eyes keen,running through snow where a slightly green partly bush and went around it,careful not to scare it and once it turned one way,she quickly came after it.Noe killed in her jaws she proudly walked away with the furry animal to where the prey was and once there,she put it in the hole,in her section.
She poked her head out of there and sat up,admiring the weather. She waited for Mintpaw once she was done and mewed friendly,"Mintpaw,how much more should we hunt" They all caught mounts of prey. All in her,Streampaw's section in the storage was 2 white rabbits,a sparrow,squirrel and 1 robin as of now.

"Well, I think this race is about a whole day, but we could take rests," Mintpaw said, wondering her same question,"You could've said that before we left team one," She suggested, padding away, the scent of chaffinch on her trail.

"Heh..Yeah."She chuckled nervously,"Yes,should of.Slipped my mind though.."She responded quickly.Oh well.. Willing to get out of her nervousness she moved away,padding off into the distance.Catching a trail of something and following it but lost it along the way.
Done walking through snow she leaped up onto a solid smooth rock she caught sight of,not much snow on there and followed a solid path more up hill and watched from that view.Observing the prey she saw down below also getting herself warmed up for the catch.

Still stalking the chaffinch, she mumbled to Streampaw," Strange, we've been talking, but the chaffinch didn't go away yet." Keeping her voice low, she crouched right behind the bird. Swiping her paw, she scooped it up with the colorful bird dead. This bird is so weird, Mintpaw thought, looking at its blue head. Breathing in the wonderful smell of chaffinch, she picked it up in her jaws. Padding over to the hidden prey, she pushed the rock, letting out the sweet smell of fresh-kill. Covering it back up with the chaffinch stuffed into it, she peered around, looking for other giant holes.
" Hey, um, do you think we should get our own holes?" She wondered out loud" Otherwise, we might get mixed up with our prey."
Not waiting for an answer, she grabbed all of Streampaw's and placed it in the big hole a tail-length away from hers. Pulling over a enormous rock over it, she did the same to Skypaw's.
" This ones mine," Mintpaw instructed, flicking her tail to every cat's hole" That's yours Streampaw, and the last one is Skypaw's." Licking a paw and drawing it over her ear, she felt thirsty.
"Who want's to go to the stream to get some moss in case anyone gets thirsty?" She asked her teammates," It would be good to collect some wet moss to keep our strength up."

Once Streampaw heard that she says happily,"Break time!"And gets up and walks toward Mintpaw,"Great idea!Let's go." She agrees and goes to find the stream. "Wow,altogether we must have a lot of prey."

"Yep," Mintpaw mumbled," What should we do now?" She questioned Streampaw. "I wonder how much prey the other team caught," Mintpaw wondered out loud. Thank you, CloudClan, for all the prey your giving us, she closed her eyes.
"I wonder what we are going to do if we win," the gray-and-white apprentice mumbled, sighing when she thought about losing.

"Well"Streampaw began happily,"Here's an idea if your interested..We are going to a stream.A stream has fish.We could go fishing." She answered,"It would be fun.Help pass the time too." She mews.
"We might win,might not but the good news is we will have more than enough prey for everyone."She laughs a little," I assume that would be the reward?" She asks Mintpaw,"Doing our job and helping our clanmates."She purrs as a finish.

"Let's go fishing!" Mintpaw licked her lips, wiping off the taste of fresh-kill. Trotting over to the stream, she looked back, waiting for Streampaw.
"I guess you love streams," Mintpaw joked," That must be why your mother named you after it!" She stared at the apprentice, then turning back to the stream to look for fish. [/color]

She padded toward Mintpaw and the stream that they finally found,walking up to the water surface.It was beautiful background and the water was clear blue to see in.Now searching for fish,she does see a few swimming by.Watching for the right moment,getting her paw out as she aims for a fish,her paw over shadows it over the fish as she quickly dives her paw in the stream and scoops it out.Water splashs a bit and the fish is out.Now onto land it flips and flops all over.And Streampaw stops it with her paw gently,not wanting it to dive back into the water.
"Yes,it's true" Happy that her name was named after 'Stream'. "May be weird but I also like water!" She says.

"I can tell," Mintpaw gave a little smile. Then, she peered in the stream, careful not to show her shadow. Seeing a fish, she unsheathed her claws. With a quick swipe, she scooped it up, watching the fish flop around, trying to escape, until it was lifeless.
"Nice catch!" Mintpaw cheered, looking at Streampaw's catch. She craned her neck, finding the the other apprentice's fresh-kill flopping around. Sinking her claws into the fish's body, she felt the body grow stiff.
"Perfect!" She carried her fish. Stopping by a tree, she scraped off some moss.
"To keep it fresh," Mintpaw explained what she was doing. Wrapping the fish in moss, she padded over the the hidden fresh-kill hole.

"Thank you!" She mewed to Mintpaw,"Nice catch too!" Streampaw still felt her fish alive and Did the same to her own fish,sunk her claw in and after that was done,it was lifeless. She continued searching for more fish.Repeated her own ritual and scooped up another fish,it seemed a little bigger compared to her other one and let it go lifeless. So that was now two fish.Proud of what she did,she shook some water off her paw...
"Water."She mumbled,"Oh yeah!"She smiled then turned to Mintpaw, walked a bit away,searching for a leaf and coming across the same tree that Mintpaw was at,no moss but She did find a nice fresh leaf and carried it back to the stream of water. And dipped it in,water flowing in it and she pulled it out quickly.There now she had hers and did the same thing to Mintpaw's,she did carry two of them and put them on the shore.

"Wow!" Mintpaw exclaimed,"I guess you like fishing!" She looked at her new friend. Waving her tail happily in the air, she "accidentally" smacked her in the face.
"Why, oops!" Mintpaw laughed, trying to make it sound apologetic. Stumbling to the stream, she hid her shadow. Raising a paw, she quickly scooped out a fish.
"Salmon,"She mumbled to herself, surprised that she identified it. Finding only leafy trees, Mintpaw chewed the stems. Then, she spat out the leaf, wrapping the freshly caught salmon in it. Padding over to the stream, she unsheathed her claws. The gray and white apprentice stuck her claws at the ends of the leaf-wrap. Letting the water lap the salmon, it washed away the fishy blood.

She smiles,"Runs in the clan"She replies and feels something against her cheek,she turns away,looking down at her caught fish,one tuna fish?And one catfish.Cool,they were different.Then she begins to lap her leaf of water up."I'm glad we have a stream here.Fishing is so much fun!"She says happily to her friend Mintpaw.She was glad they were both teammates.Through this little contest they sure had fun making the best of it.
She didn't want her fresh caught fish to rot so she just copied Mintpaws procedure of keeping her fish fresh.She was sure Mintpaw wouldn't mind.Took time but now her fish were fresh wrapped up in freshly nice leaves.
She looked out over the stream,"It's beautiful" She commented and saw bunch of fish swimming by. "What shall we do now,continue fishing?"She asks Mintpaw.Although the day wasn't over much,she was extremely tired.Hunting for this much prey was not that easy in one whole day.She sits by the water,relaxing as a light breeze swept through the waves and sprinkled like mist on her.
