The pale orange apprentices lay in the back of the den. Her head resting on her paws her eyes gazing at the shadows. There was no one t talk to every one was out hunting, patroling, or training but not Sandpaw she was bored out of her mind and what could she do nothing but just gaze at shadows.

bluepaw padded into the den and sat near sandpaw. "I'm sorry about what happened when we were hunting... i do want you to be my friend but vinepaw is going to be my mate. i hope you will forgive me for acting so foolishly. i will still be you friend and you can tell me anything." bluepaw knew that sandpaw had been feeling neglected. " you know i sometimes don't even like myself, my own sister is growing to resent me because she has no friends and had to train herself for a while. she made a lot of enemies when she was mad at greycloud. and now al her friends are warriors and shes still an apprentice. i don't think she likes me anymore...' bluepaw hadn't meant to tell sandpaw this but he needed her to trust him, he didn't want to end up like his sister. " and ashfang is mad with me because i got mad at her for getting that other tom over here as soon as she though i was out of the picture" bluepaw felt the sorrow and anger incase his mind "its just not fair you know?"

Sandpaw turned her brown gaze to BLuepaw "It's fine but when you looked at me i felt like there might be someone who really liked me you know like the kind of thing you have with vinepaw but i got my hopes up i don't even know why i try when i now nothing will every change" She covered her face with her paws. "Leave Ashfang to me i will make her better she loves me as if i was her own so i can make her feel better then you can talk to her when i am done" the pale ginger apprentice said looking at bluepaw with one brown eye.

you don't have to, this is my problem. Just like I have to spent more time with my sister I should be the one to deal with ashfang. Trust me sandpaw, I'm sure you will find someone. I would love to be your bestfriend but I have vinepaw so that's all we can be." sandpaw was starting to feel better but as BLuepaw left she felt more bad. She went back to gazing at shadows.

mosspaw padded in to the den she saw sandpaw staring into space she sniffed the air. bluepaw had just left. " if your moping over bluepaw your just wasting your time. he doesnt care about anything other that becoming a warrior and vinepaw." mosspaw was tired and upset
