Alright, it's beyond obvious that IceClan really does need a new deputy. However, I do feel bad letting go of Nightshadow-he was a wonderful deputy. The chances of him returning are slim, but there is still hope. But unfortunately IceClan cannot wait while their are wars going on and the other clans are getting stronger.
So I have come up with a solution-a temporary (and possibly permanent) deputy. If and when Nightshadow returns, he will be the clan's deputy, and the temporary deputy must resign when he returns.

Now the only problem with this, is deciding who will be the temp.dep (temporary deputy). Gingernose has proven to be loyal, determined, and strong. I know I could trust her with IceClan if ever I should be gone. She wants this more than anything, and it's good to be a little ambitious. However, Frostfur would also be an excellent deputy as well. Frostfur has not only been on here for a long time, be she's one of the oldest members in general! She is trustworthy and brave, and I know she would serve IceClan well as deputy. If I choose Gingernose over Frostfur, that would be like a slap in the face to her! But it's almost just as hurtful if I choose Frostfur over Gingernose, because she wants this so much!

Now you know how tough it is being a leader! It is my ultimate decision, but I would like some opinions, and I want to hear what you guys would do if you were me. If both of you really want this, I may just have to stick with Nightshadow! And it's because of the hard decision between you two that has been keeping Nightshadow our deputy.
(Wow, this is just like when Graystripe go lost at the Twoleg place and Firestar waited for many moons then made a temp.dep and Graystripe returned! I'm not even doing it on purpose though! Haha!)
