In the darkness of her den, the pretty Birman cat slept soundly. Yet her dream was filled with madness. Cats running around attacking one and other like they didn't believe in rules anymore. A battle where there was no heros and no villians, just conflict.
Was there any other word to discribe it?
It seemed like both sides had something to prove, one that wanted loyalty, while the other wanted respect. Both eagar to make the other side realize that they're wrong. Although neither side was wrong. . .
"Darkstar? Squirrelpelt?" she meowed, entering Darkstar's den with tense whiskers and a twitching tail.

"Skyflight, it has been a while, hasn't it?"
She stepped up to follow the medicine cat into the leader's den. She plodded quietly, as if not to disturb even the breeze brushing through the air.
The deputy's gaze was tired, and a bit less energetic than usual. Life had been boring lately, and all she'd been doing was lurk in the shadows, and make an occasional harassing comment.
It was unusual that anyone besides some apprentice or kit looking to return to FireClan after leaving, requesting to return. And every time she'd growl at them and deny their request. But Darkstar was soft hearted, and usually let them back because they were too whiny.
FireClan may be large, but it was also weaker, and less refined.
"Is there something the matter?"

Skyflight nodded, "Um yes, yes there is actually."
She looked worried, her tail was twitching majorly. Where was Darkstar? The black cat needed to hear this as well. In any matter, Squirrelpelt was here. A deputy was better than nothing. Certainly Squirrelpelt would tell Darkstar of what Skyflight is about to tell her, she knew it.
"I had a vision, from Cloudclan. It looked like all of us were fighting - battling. I saw many, many cats there from nearly all the clans. The only clan that wasn't there was Iceclan. I-I-" she studdered, calming herself for a minute, "I honestly don't know what we were all fighting for. It was so bad though. . ."
Looking at the ground her face knitted in worry. Not always did she show it, but she cared about her clan. Weak as it might be she would fight to save any of them.

[white]”Is that so?” the black cat stated, stalking into her den where the confidential meeting was taking place. Her tail lashed back and forth as she sat near the entrance to the den.
”FireClan has done enough to be hated by the other clans, but not enough for a full-fledged war, unless if someone did something since the last one. I guess we will have to wait and see, and be sure to watch the other clans at the next meeting.”
Darkstar closed her icy blue eyes, deep in thought. She wasn’t sure the clan was ready for a battle at any level. The cats seemed to be disappearing, or staying in their den, hiding from the heat that beat down on the camp each day. It would only get increasingly worse, though she didn’t know who actually realized the pattern. [/white]

Skyflight saw Darkstar and stared at her with her big blue eyes, "If a war will happen are you going to make Fireclan participate?"
The clan was so untrained, if they were getting in a war Darkstar and Squirrelpelt would have to make sure all of the cats knew how to fight. What if they came in and attacked her den? Heatherpelt wasn't really around much of anymore. . . someone would have to be at the fight scene and someone would have to be watching the camp. Who would that be? Skyflight did not want to trust any cat to know which herbs to protect the most and which ones not to.

[white] ”It seems like FireClan must participate. I can only ensure that FireClan will stay out as long as possible, but we seem to get drawn into every engagement between the clans.”
For the first time since she came into the den, Darkstar locked eyes with the FireClan Medicine Cat. She seemed weary, and Darkstar knew why. It wasn’t that the cats were untrained. They had all went through their apprenticeship in the clan, and Darkstar made sure the best warriors were the ones who trained the apprentices, not the whiny, attention-needing warriors. It was how unfit for fighting the warriors were. The cats were bred for running after prey in the prairie. They weren’t meant for up-close combat with the bigger cats. When Skyflight said that IceClan wasn’t part of the dispute, she felt a wash of relief come over her. One less clan they would all need to worry about. There was, however, one thing she needed to make sure.
”Skyflight, when you mention the clans, do you also include the rouges?”

Skyflight looked down, her tail settled on the ground. Silence washed over the den. Yes, yes there was rouges. Rouges played dirty. Instead of just attacking cats, they went for the death blow. They constantly had fight training, day after day. Bred for hardship, taught to be loyal to the very end. There numbers weren't that high, but the death rate increased.
She looked up, "Yes." she paused looking to the side of the den, "Deathclan."
