The Silence of The (Cat?) (OPEN)

I padded into the Apprentices' Den for the first time. I looked around, and went towards a large empty spot near the corner. I spread the moss around and laid down. I didn't expect much from the other apprentices, but I was there, and that was that.

"Hello, there! You're the new apprentice, right?", Lotuspaw trotted into the den and greeted Silentpaw, not knowing that he could not talk. The Siamese she-cat was one of the older apprentices; her nest was located in the middle of the apprentice's den, instead of the edge. Lotuspaw padded to her moss-lined nest, and settled down. It felt cold. Sighing, she remembered that she had been training with her mentor, Whiplash, yesterday.

I looked at the Apprentice and nodded, a proud smile on my face. I honestly couldn't wait till my first training session, but I wasn't sure if it would be today or tomorrow. But for now, I was setting up my nest.

Creekpaw padded into the den, head hanging low. She was deaf and everyone in the clan knew that. She raised her tail up to say hi.

[Silentpaw]

I looked up at Creekpaw. I had heard from others about how she was deaf. It honestly didn't matter to me, cuz' It wouldn't affect me at all. I had to talk with a different style too, since I had no voice. I flicked my tail in greeting towards Creekpaw.

Lotuspaw lay in her nest, silently observing how Creekpaw and Silentpaw communicated. The Siamese and put her head on her dark brown paws. It was not long before she let slumber overtake her.

Creekpaw still looked troubled. She laid onto her nest, tears silently building up in her throat. She suddenly burst out crying and stumbled into her nest. She curled into a little ball and cried herself to sleep.

I padded over and rested my tail on Creekpaw's shoulder supportively. I had cried myself to sleep many nights before for 6 moons.

Thrushpaw looked at silentpaw, and flicked her tail in the air slightly, wondering if he still remembered. "Well well, look who's an apprentice!" She mewed, and sat next to him.

[Silentpaw]

I smiled and stomped my foot twice, and nodded at Thrushpaw. I remembered when he started teaching me a secret language when I was a young kit.

"You must be really excited, huh?" She asked him. "Thats how Thrushpaw started out too!" She mewed. "So, wanna hunt with Thrushpaw or something, better to practice, right?"

[Silentpaw]

I nodded excitedly, then again as she mentioned hunting. I wanted to go hunting or do something as soon as I could. I looked at her.

"Alright! Lets go! Thrushpaw can't wait!" She mewed, bounding out of the den. (I'll make a thread later, I gtg to sleep, see you soon.)

I made sure my nest was made and trotted out behind Thrushpaw, excited to begin. (Alright, see ya )

Creekpaw didn't fall asleep, she just laid there, crying her eyes out.
