Rowankit was being carried into the den by Blizzardwind. She was too shocked to speak. The small runt had never seen her own blood before, and she couldn't stop staring at it. Rowankit instincively licked it, but it stung and she immediately drew away.

"It's okay." Sje continued to soothe the kit on the way there. It was small, but it drew a considerable amount of blood for a cut. The worst would be it getting infected. She set her down in a small nest. "Keep that paw off the ground and wait for a heartbeat, alright?"
Blizzardwind turned into the den and called into it. "Sunblaze! Silentstep!"

Rowankit seemed not to notice the pain that much anymore as she bounced around on three paws. "I've never met the medicine cats before. I haven't even been here before! I wonder what they look like." She noticed herbs stocked nearby. Rowankit bounded over to them. "Can I play with these?" She asked hopefully.

Lightningpaw dashed in the medicine cats den. "Whoa, don't touch the herbs! You don't know what they do and you can get hurt more!" the apprentice said. "Do you know which herbs do what?" he asked. "All I know is cobwebs." he admitted. "They stop bleeding." He reached for the cobwebs.

"Yeah, but you can end up endlessly soaking up her blood instead of stopping it." Blizzardwind warned. Her sister was the medicine cat of Deathclan. She had learned that when she had been kitnapped. Blizzardwind was probably just being paranoid.

Rowankit froze and backed away in between Blizzardwind's paws for comfort. "Will the medicine cats ever come?" She wimpered.

"I'll go get them." Lightningpaw meowed. "It's time to play to my strengths." he said. He then ran out of the medicine den. A few moments later, an ear-splitting screech pierced the camp.
"WE NEED A MEDICINE CAT!" Lightningpaw yowled. "A KIT IS IN TROUBLE!"

Blizzardwind covered Rowankit's ears. They were polar opposites, Lightningpaw and her. She was shy, he was loud. Blizzardwind smiled and laughed a little. Then his screech shot through her ears and she winced, no longer laughing. She uncovered Rowankit's ears.

Blizzardwind looked at Shiningpaw. She was still young, after all. Herbs were not to be messed with.

Lightningpaw padded back in the medicine cats den. "Looks like their coming soon." he said. "Everybody must have heard that." he reamarked. "I say in 2 minutes, we should put cobwebs on the cut if they don't come."
