Chapter one
Coral swam with her sister, Shellby, by her side. Their aqua fins swished in harmony as they joyously dove down into the seaweed. The two mermaids were identical, the same fin color, the same green eyes, and the same long golden hair. The only thing different was their personality. Shellby was shy, sweet and does not like doing things she is not sure of, while Coral was adventurous, cunning and talkative.
As they swan Coral surfaced and looked at a ship, it's name was the Waveling, and on it was a boy. The boy looked the twins age of 14, and he seemed to be smiling. Coral turned to Shellby"Shell look at this!" She squealed and turned to marvel at his wavy brown hair. Her sister quickly swan up and looked out of the water at him."Wow...."Shellby gasped as she swam to the ship to get a closer look."I thought you were scared!"Coral giggled as she swan to her sister, who seem hypnotized by the boy and his blue eyes. Soon Shellby was at the ship and holding onto the deck, now that was too close for Coral to watch, she covered her eyes, as Shellby touched the boys foot with her finger.
Then with a flash the boy saw her and put his hand down to touch Shellby, and the mermaid matched her hand to his as he hauled her up onto the ship. Coral couldn't belive it, her shy sister was gigling at a human.
A horn startled Coral and the ship stormed away with Shellby with them. Without thinking the golden haired twin grabed onto the deck and flopped into the ship. Yet insteed of seeing shellby she saw a human. The human was exactly like Shellby but without a fin. It did not take long to notice that Coral's fin slowly melted away too, a secret they did know about until this day.
