Okay, so I got the idea when I went to the mall about a week ago. I was outside of Bath & Body, and I was waiting for my mom and little sister to finish looking at candles. Then I noticed a thick, black line in between the middle of the store. And that's when the idea came in. So .. This will be either holding the first chapter, or the first and second. M'kay? Andddd .. Go.
“ It's all your fault. ”
“Okay, so here's the game plan.” Young thirteen-year old Piper Wilcox said, spreading out a sketch of the literal game plan. Several kids stood around her, looking down on the sheet of paper. A couple of children murmured to each other about their opinions. Piper's golden brown eyes glistened, as she explained the strategy.
“Nicole? You will lead Group A into Justice .. Crystal; you'll be taking B and C to the Food Court. Jesse will help you. John? Where's John?” Piper looked through her papers, that were filed neatly into her one-inch purple binder. She was looking for a quick sketch of the Food Court, the area by Chick-fil-a.
A boy walked up right in front of her, his curly brown hair covering his ears. He had his hands behind his back, as if he tried to look neat and formal. If he got a hair-cut, maybe. He was quite tall, but so was Piper. John looked down slightly, so he could make eye-contact with her.
“Yes, Piper?” “I need you to gather Gabriel Blake and Peter Yone for me ..” she murmured. “Okay; right away!” he said. “Thank you, Johnny.” Piper said, searching through her papers.
Piper had been looking for that single sheet for quite a while, and was afraid she had left it at home. The teenage girl filed her thumb through her binder, and sighed with relief once she found the paper; it had ‘Mission: Mall | Plan Part 2’. The dark-brunette smiles to herself, feeling quite accomplished. And then, Gabriel and Peter had arrived ..
Gabriel was a short, pudgy boy with brown hair and straight bangs. He had green eyes and some faint freckles here and there .. His ears were rather large, and Gabe wore square-framed glasses. And then there was Peter; a tiny teenager with shiny black hair. It was cut like Gabriel's, but Pete's bangs were smoother and looser. Peter was very short and skinny. And very, very pale.
Peter was the first to respond to Piper's request for their presence, “What is it, Piper? And can I be in charge of the Food Court? So I can be around that food ..” He asked dreamily, his eyes looking soft and delighted.
“You know you can't eat old, stale pasta or chicken, right?” Gabe smirked, and snapped his fingers in his friend's face. “I find that very, very gross .. I hate cold food that is supposed to be warm ..” He said, as a shiver ran down his back.
