- clears throat -
In U.S History we were assigned to make a song about slaves. Each of us were given a topic about the slave trade. My group was about being a Ship Boat Captian. What is written in this ' song ' is true events that happened to the slaves while they're on a ship.
So if you need to write a song about Slaves, feel free to use my song. ^-^
I credit it to ' I'll Make a Man Out of You ' by Mulan.I’ll Make a Man Out of You Made into I’ll Make a Slave Out of You Ship Boat Captain Let's get down to business To collect, the slaves, Did they send me peasants? When I asked for men? You're the weakest bunch I ever met So eat up, ‘Cause I might kill you. Mister, I'll make a slave out of you
(Be a slave) You must have strength, To work all day. (Be a slave) With all the skills, Of a African. (Be a slave) Be as obedient Of else you’ll die Loyal as a Dog and its master.
Time is racing toward us till the dock arrives Heed my every order and you might survive You're unsuited for the hardened chores. So breathe deep, You’re thrown overboard. How could I make a slave out of you?
