[Jasperpaw]

Jasperpaw wandered into the apprentices' den, yawning. Looking around, he sniffed to find a fresh place before making himself a next, which seemed like terrible work to him because he had just been making nests for the elders. But it was what had to be done so he went about it cheerfully, thinking tha he had enjoyed it more when it had been for the elders, it was doing something more useful. Giving himself a quick wash, which hadn't gotten much gracefuller than when he was a kit, the young cat settled down into the nest and closed his eyes. However, he only needed to sleep lightly and his ears were pricked incase he was needed by his mentor or if any of the apprentices wanted to talk to him.

Cloudpaw walked into the apprentices den she walked to an empty spot to make a nest for later, better now than later, she thought to herself. The new white apprentice sat down to take in her new home, her green eyes passed over the ginger tom she met in the nursery only a few days before. She looked at him thoughtfully watching him sleep as she padded to him to see if he wanted to talk or something. "Hey", she whispered, "You awake?" prodding him with her paw.

Eyes opened in a flash as he was poked and the young tom sat up, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the den instead of closed. "Yep, just doozing." He meowed, giving a small shake and yawning. Stretching out his muscls, he looked over at the other apprentice and smiled. "Cloudkit." He meowed, cheerfully, glad to have an apprentice here that he recognised, he had no idea where Goldenpaw was and he knew no one else among the apprentices. "Wait? Did I miss your cermony!" Panic went through the young tom. "I'm so sorry Cloudpaw, I must have really gone to sleep!" He appologised, feeling dreadful that he had missed a cermony, and one of such a nice cat. "Who's your mentor?" He asked, sitting up, but still feeling dreadful that he must have slept through her cermony.

"Oh it's ok! really! My mentor is Blizzardwind were starting training soon too. Did I weake you up! I'm sorry if I did, really!" alarmed Cloudpaw got up and looked at her tail with embarresment. "Sorry, Jasperpaw..." she said.

[Jasperpaw]

Jasperpaw didn't feel too much better when Cloudpaw said that it was 'ok' but he was still feeling a little better. He mentally made a note to try and not sleep so deeply next time. "Blizzardwind? You should have fun. I met Blizzardwind a few times, she's nice." Jasperpaw meowed thoughtfully, glad that he did know a few cats outside the apprentice den and nursery. Hearing the panic attack, the red tabby's whiskers twitched in amusment, but he quickly stilled them, hoping to not offend the she-cat.

"Don't worry, I really should be waking up. I only meant to have a light drift off. Thank you." The tom meowed sincerly, hoping to ease Cloudpaw's emotions and to stop the obvious embarrasment he could see in the cat. Sitting up and curling his tail around his paws, Jasperpaw started to groom himself. "So you haven't had any duties yet? Or training sessions?" He asked Cloudpaw, in a way of distracting both of them from their small problems. Jasperpaw as hoping to not look like he had slept too long and so was grooming himself to smarten his coat up.

Looking back up at Jasperpaw she replied "No, no duties yet." she added with excitement "But were supposed to go explore the territory soon!" Cloudpaw could feel her white coat quiver with excitement as she went on about her new life she couldn't wait to experience.

Suddenly remembering about Jasperpaw she asked him "By the way how is your training been? I have't seen Silentstep around". And she hadn't either she hoped the medicine cat would be back soon! She had heard the queens before her ceremony talking about Whitecough in the kits. It had worried her about it for her clans sake.She also hoped it wouldn't interfere with her training sessions.

Smilingas he listened to Cloudpaw talking, he wondered what other duties he would get. Simply cleaning the dens and bringing fresh kill were important duties but he did want to get on with patrolling and hunting. However, he knew that everything was needed and even as a warrior, he should help the elders with their dens and help the queens with theirs/ "That sounds like good fun, and a lot of scents. I've only briefly gone out of camp to fetch moss and the territory is huge. It made me feel pretty tiny." He told her with a smile. It had been amusing, feeling that small.

It was obvious that Cludpaw was excited by it, and Jasperpaw was as well, although he did try and act neutral and keep being polite at the front of his mind, it was rather strenuous which was why he slept more than the other cats and deeper. But he was getting better at that. "Silentstep told me to get some rest, I got tired after doing the elders' beddings. I've brought fresh kill to the elders and queens as well. But Silentstep ahs told me that I need to learn more about inside the Clan before I can go out and see the territory and hunt. I think a lot of the training isn't just about how to do everything, but training the mind as well. I'm going to do my best to be the best apprentice, although I presume that I will end up facing challenges. The best I can do is go on with a smile on my face and no grumbiling." He meowed.

Looking over, Jasperpaw frowned, Cloudpaw looked a bit worried. "What is it?" He asked softly.

[Cloudfrost]

Cloudpaw looked at Jasperpaw and replied" I've heard the queens talk about Whitecough in the new kits, and it just worried me. Especially since we don't have a leader! Were getting a new deputy though..." Drifting off to heaing the warriors talk about the new deputy. Finally she added "I believe her name was 'Fallenheart', I've never really met her though". "But back to the Whitecough, I just hope the kits don't turn to Greencough! It'd be horrible"!

The thought terrified her. Turning to Jasperpaw she looked at him with worried eyes. "I just hope the other clans don't see it as a sign of weakness, and attack!"

[Jasperpaw]

Jasperpaw frowned, whitecough in the kits. "That isn't good. I hope Silentstep and Sunblaze can keep everyone in good health." He meowed, frowning. Hearing that there would be a new deputy, Jasperpaw looked up, interested. "I've never met Fallenheart or our old deputy. It would be interesting to see the cermony. And I wonder what would happen. What the new deputy would bring." He meowed thoughtfully. Hearing the worry about attack, Jasperpaw gave a smile. "No one will get past me. I'll help protect the clan if we are attacked. I won't let anyone be hurt." He meowed, puffing himself up.

[Windswirl]

"Hey Jasperki-- PAW', Cloudpaw!''She greeted at the entrance way as she came in from training she received. "Oh, Jasperpaw, I forgot. Your had your ceremony and an apprentice now~." She was at his ceremony when he was apprenticed. Great and grand. She waved her tail in a delightful friendly greeting as she sat down next to Cloudpaw. They were talking about a new deputy? "Oh, have you guys ever met Redspirit either?" She asked and shook her head lightly," Never met him nor Fallenheart". She looked to Jasperpaw"Why must you worry so much? Getting a new deputy is stupendous. You can't think every cat will do bad~ none happened in Rockclan here and I don't think it will." Windpaw stated.

Cloudpaw looked at the two cats " It's ok to worry, yet the new deputy will probably come soon, then this whole mess will be over! But back to the Whitecough, I've seen more than enough kits in the medicine den. Ihope they don't get into trouble!" Looking back to Jasperpaw she said "And I'm sure the clans won't attack, it was just a passing thought. We've been leaderless for almost 2 seasons and no ones attacked, I'm just a bit paranoied."

Feeling the mood in the air Cloudpaw tried to change the subject. "So what do you want your warrior names to be?" It was a subject that always interested her.

[Windswirl]

"That means.. Venomstar probably caught the white cough too. I'm thankful we have full duties medicine cats- Sunblaze and Silentstep to cure them." she looked to Cloudpaw and nodded,'' I think Silentstep's herbs are enough to keep the kits' out of trouble. Those without being used properly, they can be dangerous. Many kits' has been afraid to touch them. Especially Deathberries. But Silentstep and Swiftwish are doing the ceremonies for awhile, so it is not that bad."
And heard her question of names," Well, whatever names we get, I'm sure they'd be great. I was going to ask you, Jasperpaw, how's the training under Silentstep?" Probably great as ever. And looked to Cloudpaw,'' What name would you want Cloudpaw?"

[Cloudfrost]

"Well if I could choose" She began "It would have to be Cloudfrost, I've always lked it. What would you want?" she asked Windpaw.

[Jasperpaw]

Jasperpaw looked up as Windpaw appeared and he purred a greeting to the she-cat. "Hello Windpaw, how are you?" His tone was friendly and the tom got up and flickered his tail in greeting and respect, she was the oldest apprentice here. "No, I haven't met Redspirit, or Venomstar. But its the warriors, queens, kits and elders who make the Clan what it is. A leader and a deputy without a clan is nothing. We all work together to make them and us what we are. So in a way, you can say we've all met the leader and deputy, in ourselves and each other." Thoughtful moment over, Jasperpaw went back to grooming as if nothing had happened.

Hearing the question about worrying, Jasperpaw purred. "I just worry about what if leafbare makes us appear like a good target. I believe that the new deputy, Fallenheart, was it? Well, I believe that Fallenheart will do well. Its just the season." He said. If the new deputy was to come in during leafbare then it would be very hard, what with the lack of prey, the coughs and the threat from attack from other Clans. You just had to take everything into acount. But Jasperpaw was jolly, either way. He had friends, he was learning to help his Clan, it was all that he ever wanted. And Silentstep was a great mentor.

As Cloudpaw asked waht they wanted their warrior names to be, jasperpaw paused in his grooming and thought for a while. "I guess I like Jasperheart." He meowed eventually. "But I'm really fine with anything, mind you, Jaspereye might sound funny and take some getting used to if I get that. But its up to the leader, or however is taking the cermony." He meowed before going back to his grooming. Then, Windpaw asked a question. "I was tired, luckily I got some rest. She's a good mentor and she thinks in a good way. I've brought fresh kill to the queens and worked on the elders den. I think its a good place to start, because we won't have prey or a territory if we do not take care of each other. Our care makes us different from the foxes and badgers. It makes us who we are." He meowed softly. "We do not ask the old and sick to leave, but we help them, and honour them. That is what makes us a Clan." His ears flickered and the young apprentice looked down. "Sorry, that ended up going off topic. its just really good. Silentstep is kind and very clever." He meowed.

As Cloudpaw was asked what name she would prefer, Jasperpaw smiled. Cloudfrost sounded like a nice name. Most names usually had a part of a cat on the end, but Cloudfrist had a certain ring to it and worked with the colour of her pelt. "I think that fits you very well. I probably won't be able to think of any other name that would suit you so well." Jasperpaw meowed, giving a purr. Moving closer to the two she-cats he decided that he might as well grooom them, from the temperature, although cool, he could stell that it was close to midday. "You don't mind sharing tounges, do you?"[ He asked politely. "I've seen warriors doing it while they are talking." He said softly, deciding to let the two cats choose.

Purring at Jasperpaw's compliment. When she heard his suggestion, she replied "Sure, thats a wonderful idea!" Cloudpaw walked up to Jasperpaw and began to groom his ginger fur. Pausing she said "Getting used to the idea of grooming another cat will give us experience to when were warriors." She continued to lick Jasperpaw's ears thinking of how life would be as a warrior.
