(By the end of this week, we will have all inactive staff replaced, the side tables updated, RockClan will no longer be under anarchy, and IceClan will have some activity! To start us off right, we want to start and finish our very first gathering with all the clans.
IN ORDER TO DO THIS, only leaders, deputies, warriors, and elders may attend.)
The icy night air of Leaf Fall chilled Wildstar as she walked down the mountain. Leaf Bare was was well on its way to IceClan, and Wildstar dreaded that. Gatherings were enough of a pain to travel to as it was without the snow and ice, but for once, Wildstar wasn't grouchy. For the past moons, chaos had been ruling the clans. IceClan hadn't even attempted to attend a gathering for moons, and she was a bit nervous, yet...she had a feeling that she wasn't alone. Word got out that RockClan had been leaderless for nearly two seasons, and Wildstar wanted to know what was going on in FireClan and TreeClan.
Finally, the cats reached the Shared Clearing. It was eerily quiet. The leader took her usual spot on the three, and waited.

Leading her clan through the swaying prairie grass, Darkstar’s tail flicked viciously. She had an extreme distaste for gatherings. She hated going to them. She hated talking at them. She hated leading her clan to them. What did she have to report besides the basic things she always announced – if the leaders had a chance to do so. Nothing ever changed in her clan, and if it did, everyone knew about it.
Gatherings to Darkstar were a waste of time. She only attended them to humor the others.

FireClan made its way through the tall grass and shrubs. Darkstar lead the pack of cats, looking irritated and bored, as usual. Wildstar did not adore gatherings either; but the clans hadn't gathered in moons. IceClan had been in isolation from the other clans since practically New Leaf, and Wildstar was desperate to find out what was going on. She knew that if she wanted to get any information out of these cats, she'd have to share some herself.
"Greetings, oh pleasant one," Wildstar said sarcastically.

Beechstar trotted into the clearing, his clan right behind him. He held his head high, Beechstar had always been a very proud cat when it came to his clan. His health seemed to have improved, but it was still nothing like it was like in his glory days. The dictator took his usual spot and sat; silent.

Venomstar walked into the gathering, appearing once after about 3 moons of absence, and took his spot as was usual. He completely ignored his previous absence for now, focusing on his need to get this little meeting together.
He had recently had a dream of Twolegs slaughtering each other by the thousands, while wearing odd patterns he had never seen before. As such, he had little sleep and was extremely tired today.
(That is not a prophecy. That is a reference to another RP.) (Yes, small post. Tired IRL so go away.)

Beechstar and Venomstar had finally showed up. Wildstar was beginning to think they wouldn't show, but she was glad they did. What's more, she was glad to see that Venomstar hadn't vanished. Frostripe came close to taking over their land.
"Well I suppose I'll go first," Wildstar said, a bit reluctant. No one like sharing news at gatherings, but Wildstar needed information. "Let's be blunt; IceClan has not attended gatherings for moons, and according to my border patrols, the other clans have not been up to much--at least not near our border--for a while either. We've experienced a bit of hardship last Green Leaf, and we took some time to recover. We had a bit of an uprising, but all is well now. IceClan is stronger and healthier than ever, and we eagerly await This Leaf Bare; we are well prepare this year."
Wildstar tried her best to keep the details low. She didn't want her clan to seem weak and vulnerable, so she wanted to make IceClan sounds tough by exagerating the truth about their readiness for the snow. But now, it was their turn.
"That pretty much covers IceClan's news over the past few moons," she said. "IceClan would love t hear what the other clans have been up to. Have you all been attending gatherings?"

Mousefeather had come in with her leader, Wildstar. She sat down with the other iceclan memebers, wrapping her tail around her paws, crouching down partly, shifting a bit till she was comfortable.
She watched as each clan entered, her crystal blue eye meauring the incoming cats. She listened as Wildstar started off. Mousefeather nodded in agreement, she to wondered about the other clans.

For moons? Certainly right. And glad they have been able to attend this lovely night. Snowy night in Iceclan that was coming-to-be. Oh and the uprising. Yes, very true, difficult.. She listened to Wildstar, agreeing to everything she had said, no nod but a flick of her tail. She sat down next to Mousefeather, neatly rather quiet but now it was time for the other clan leader to have their say.

Post by Windflurry on Nov 10, 2011 20:17:40 GMT -6
Windflurry's first gathering. She had never gone to one of these before. It felt like an honor, in more ways then another. She sat down beside her clanmates and listened as the leaders began. First to start was the noble leader of Iceclan, Wildstar. Windflurry didn't nod or give any movements much at all. Yet she did agree with what her leader had said. Wildstar was sure a good one at keeping details low to hide any vulnerable points in Iceclan. It would be interesting to hear about the other clans.
How would the other leaders apprehend the situation. Would they conceal their vulnerability to the others such as Wildstar? Or perhaps go all out on their words. No, they couldn't possibly. Showing that your clan was in a state of weakness? What leader would give out that information.
Besides, the other clans looked overall healthy. They didn't look like skin and bones. Surprise. They were most likely all well fed. Not like Iceclan wasn't in a good state. The Iceclan cats looked pretty plump as well. At least they had meat on their bones. But they were fit to. No surprise there, Wildstar had a well put together clan.
Even after that whole Froststripe epidemic Iceclan pulled through and for the time being seemed stable. Enough, I guess. There was always ups and downs no matter what. This was only a little flaw that had caused a bit of commotion. Yes, cats turned against one another forced to pick sides. All seemed well, for now.
Had any of the other clans had to deal with something like that? Maybe so... The clan grew from it though. It sort of showed how stable Iceclan could stay during rough times. Never needed to resort to deeper measures. Enough about that, what were the other clans going through at the time being?
They better be ready for leaf bare... Because cloudclan's knows what awaited the clans this season. Harsh cold winters with blizzards and snowfalls that could go on for days? Perhaps a simple settle winter with light snows? Pfft... Light snows. Maybe for the other clans. Knowing Iceclan, this season hit hard. Although the weather was no obstacle. They'd be prepared. Just another year in Iceclan. They would be ready for a leaf bare that could chill you to the bone.

Darkheart extended her claws ands streatched out her back legs, sitting down next to Streamfall an old friend of hers. Indeed the upriseing had taken place, but now Wildstar seemed as strong and confident as ever not the same cat Froststripe had made her out to be. However Darkheart had taken her part in that as well, attacking her fellow clanmates and going against her leader? She would never truely forgive herself for doubting Wildstar and Thunderstripe's leadership, but for now she was an Iceclan warrior... dedicated to Cloud Clan. Dedicated to Wildstar, the cat they had choosen to rule her clan.
'Leaf-bare, a discusting time of year. Hard to train my apprentices and very dificult to hunt for the fresh kill pile! I hope I can at least try and catch a mouse or a bird on our way back.' Darkheart perked her ears up to listen for the other clan's news it seemed that they would have somthing going on right? Why esle would Wildstar tell them so much?

Trailing behind the rest of the clan after Beechstar, Quickfox hopped up onto a rocky ledge, standing up straight to get a better view. To her surprise, there were now three black-furred cats on the leaders ledge. Meaning .. the legendary Venomstar. Well, she herself didn't know if he was actually a legend or not, since he hadn't been to a gathering sinch she was just a really young warrior. All the leaders looked healthy, sleek and shiney pelts, bright eyes. Impresive, as leafbare was creeping around the corner.
As warriors piled into the clearing, she glanced up, to see a cloudless night sky, happy stars, and a snowy moon, forecasting a peaceful night. Of course, sometimes that could change in a heartbeat; she had witnessed fights at the Gatherings before.
Yawning, and placing one paw under her chest, she listened as Wildstar's voice echo around the walls. [/color]

Hawktail padded in with Iceclan. His paws at the front of the group and yawned wanting his warm, soft nest. This was okay too. Hoping a friend would come to him he sat his tabby body down. The ground was cold under his big paws and quit uncomfortable so he would sift his feet or lick them for warmth. Sighing he looked around. Would anyone come to talk with him. This night was just bumming him out. Maybe he should walk around. Na! To cold. Someone would have to come his way sometime.

Heatherflower sat with the iceclan cats and looked around at the other clans. The gray warrior had not been to a gathering in many moons, she was glad to see all the other clans in one place peacefully. She looked around to see if anyone looked intresting to talk too. She saw Quickfox and walked over towards the senior warrior, she did not know this warrior other than that she was from Treeclan.
Clearning her throat she looked at Quickfox. Hello, i'm Heatherflower from iceclan, and you are? she asked poiltley. Her yellow eyes blinked and she smiled cat-like. Mind if i join you? she meowed. While she waited for a reply she sat down a couple of tail-lengths from the senior warrior.
Wildstar's voice echoed towards her and she looked up at her leader, she noticed that the wildstar didn't give away all of what Iceclan was doing, she figured she didn't want the other clans thinking that her clan was poor. She looked at Darkstar, Beechstar and Venomstar and wondered who would speak next. She could tell that Darkstar was annoyed and didn't want to be here.

Prairiesong followed behind Venomstar and sat down with the rest of the Rockclan cats she wondered where all of the other warriors of Rockclan where at. Rockclan hadn't been very active latley and it seemed like the whole clan was empty. Sighing she listened to Wildstar's speech and laid down, laying her head on her paws. This was her very first gathering and she wondered if it would be any fun or a waste of time. She hadn't seen her leader in moons but she was glad that he had taken the time to leave his den and attend the gathering. Looking around she noticed that there was alot of Iceclan cats and not so much any of the other clans. She saw a treeclan and a rockclan cat but other than darkstar no fireclan warriors.
