The orange she cat prowled into the clearing, looking around warily. She was tired today, yet was looking forward to the gathering for sunrises. "Where is Everyone?" I hissed to myself. Gatherings usually were crouded and loud, but tonight it was spacey and quiet. Where in Cloudclans' name were everyone?

"Oh, hello," she purred back kindly, not forgetting the tight truce that forced the clans' fur flat. "Heatherflower? I am Quickfox; TreeClan. How is the weather in the mountains? I hear it's for sure icy, but, have you guys been having luck with the prey, and all .. ?"

Soon the cats started to come in bucket loads... Wait no. For a gathering, this seemed rather odd. The noise was definitely not loud. Where was all the noise you'd wish would stop? The constant bug of chattering? For a first gathering, this wasn't much. Although, now that you look at it right. The cats from different clans were starting to send faint whispers to one another. Exchanging words? Well no one better be foolish enough to give out precious information. If they knew the rut Iceclan was once in... Wait, why think about it?
This wasn't her place to worry. If that was anyone's job, it wouldn't exactly be in her spot. The odds of that were luckily not in her favor. No worries. She reminded herself. This is a just simple gathering. Over reacting a little bit aren't we? The thought crossed her mind. She simply shrugged all the thoughts and worries away.
Windflurry sat there listening to the other leaders ramble on. Should she pay closer attention to their words? She saw no flaws in Wildstar's. No fetal information leaked. So why worry? This wasn't her place to be snoopy in.
Maybe she should just go chat with some of the other warriors... There was Heatherflower and Quickfox chatting. The questioned didn't seem that personal about Iceclan. Wouldn't be one to assume they were trying to get info.
Windflurry let out a rather large silent sigh. She took one look around and realized two cats she did not know. From different clans? Perhaps? She got up and silently walked over to Prairiesong and Fireshine. "Um.. Hello." She greeted fairly simply.
Other clans... How to talk to them? They couldn't possibly relate to about weather... Iceclan had it much worse. A simple hello seemed rather fine for now. "I am Windflurry, pleasure to meet you both." She overheard one of them. Prairiesong. So that was one of their names. What about the senior warrior? Also... What clan could they possibly be from?

Beechstar stuck his nose up first. "Of course I have been to the other gatherings, unlike some. This is why Treeclan is superior." He lifted his paw and then licked it, letting his claws unsheathe. Beechstar seemed to be in a foul mood, but he was usually always rude to the other leaders when it came to the gatherings.
"Treeclan has been doing quite well under my dictation, and I do not plan to get any help any time soon...By help I mean deputy. For the slow cats.." He scanned the gathered cats, as well as the leaders. Beechstar then shot the other to leaders a stare that could kill bears.
"Come on now, your next."

[Sorry Skyflight deleted my post. -.- but whatever. I don't mind] Heatherflower looked at Quickfox and smiled cat-like. She remembered to make sure not to slip any information that wasn't necissary to Quickfox. The weather is as chilly as always, prey is scarce but is Leaf Fall(?) We have enough food for the whole clan, thank Cloudclan. she meowed. How is Treeclan doing? she asked poiltey.
Suddenly she noticed that Treeclan's leader had just given his report, he seemed in a foul mood, like always. She sighed and rolled her eyes, she didn't see why the leaders had to be so rude. This was in fact a gathering not a challenge to see who's clan was better than the others. The gatherings made her think of she-cats fighting over a tom 'I'm prettier' 'Well i'm stronger' 'IM faster!' It was annoying, it was why Heatherflower hated gatherings. She only went so she wouldn't miss anything intresting, because sometimes something intreging happened. Licking her lips she wondered who would go next.

Prairiesong sat with her back facing the leaders. She had no intrest in what 'news' they had to share. They only faught about what clan was doing better and yadda-yadda-yadda. She simply did not get the point in gatherings. The clans obviously didn't like eachother and the leaders were always sour and bitter towards eachother.
She shifted her paws and looked at Fireshine again she thought that the senior warrior was from Fireclan but she couldn't be sure. She didn't know anyone out side of her clan because this was her first gathering she had gone too. She wasn't expecting anything intresting to happen but she was tired of sleeping in the Warrior's den and needed a well desereved change in senary. This was her excitment for the next couple of moons.
Sighing she looked behind her at the leaders and noticed that the Beechstar had just made his report. She wondered why he was so bitter, Who put a thorn in his nest she thought sourly.

Redstorm huffed. How dare Beechstar call Treeclan superior? It took every bit of his self control not to jump up and make a nasty retort to the idiotic leader. He was by far the worst leader he had ever seen, even worse than Froststar. OK, maybe not worse than Froststar. Beechstar actually did work. Anyway, he was angry. Obviously. You could tell just by looking at him. His fur was poofed up to make him look almost twice his size and his claws flexed, ripping up the short grass beneath him. This is why he hated gatherings. Leaders were so snotty and acted so superior. Meanwhile their clans were probably failing and could easily be taken over in a single battle. But for some reason he just had to come to these things. The most likely reason to that would be because the gatherings let him take out his anger and learn about the other clans.

Darkheart yawned at the end of Beechstar's report, it both angered her yet intrigued her at the same time. ' Superior indeed, for all we know he's had it easy for the past few moons. Only reason I could think of for him being so prickly. 'Dictation' that's one word I'll never understand!' Darkheart sat with her thoughts for a while longer before spotting Redstorm, the oldest cat she knew so far. He was puffed up and had that mad cat stare. " Ah Redstorm so glad to see you." She said smirking, her voice sounded sarcastastic however she was glad to see him.

A black and white tom navigated himself in the worn path of IceClan's pawmarks. A bit distracted, he tripped over a root and fell onto his face, dirt flying up. He pushed himself upwards, putting his feet to the ground. He arched his back, then padded slowly towards the area where the other cats were. His green eyes darted from unfamiliar face to unfamiliar face. He only knew a few of the cats here, and they were all IceClanners. Maybe he could meet some warriors from TreeClan or FireClan? His paws stopped mid-trot as a moth fluttered in front of his nose. His whiskers twitched. Hmm? What was this urge? He crouched into the much-practiced hunting crouch, and pounced towards the moth, missing and landing awkwardly on his forepaw. I will have to question my sanity later; There's a gathering to attend to! He thought, commanding himself mentally. Badgerclaw had arrived. [/font]

Koisplash trotted into the clearing, not really paying attention to the hum of chatter around her. Strange, it wasn't as loud as it normally was...not that she was complaining. It was still very odd, though. The Gathering seemed very sparsely attended, so she took a spot somewhere near the middle. She scowled at Beechstar's announcement. Sometimes she wondered if he really was her friend or not, it was hard to tell with his random personality swings. One minute he'd be sweeter than a timid kit, next he'd be so prickly and sharp-tongued that it'd make a porcupine's quills look soft. Of course, maybe with her as the new deputy, she'd be able to keep TreeClan solidly sane for a while. "Maybe" being the key word here. Koisplash glanced over to see a faintly familiar face. His name was...Redstick? Redstorm? He looked furious, fur fluffed out, claws ripping up grass, and all, and she traced his gaze back to Beechstar. Of course. "Don't mind him," she muttered darkly to the tom. "Believe me, he's been worse than this."

A smile suddenly grew across the leader's face. His smile looked almost as innocent as a small child's. "Oh, I forgot. SHHH. It's still my turn." Beechstar was basically shushing the other leaders and cats. "Koisplash is now deputy, by the way. That is all."
His mood swings seemed to be quick, going from peeved to happy. He started humming cheerily to himself, swaying a little. "Your turn now!"

Her ears prickled, catching every word that escaped Beechstar's jaws. Out in the trees, surrounding the clearing, is where she'd been for the couple of minutes. Yes, her first Gathering, and she was late to it. Stupid, right? Feralbreak slipped out the trees, brushing past the bushes, making her way to the clearing, trying her best to go unseen. She found herself beside a brown and red tom, named Redstorm. The flexing of the warrior's claws caused her muscles to tense with unease. But he had a point; Beechstar was being snobby. After all, the leader always liked to tease those who were already angry as it is. Of course Beechy thought he was superior, almost every male did.

(Torrentpaw. The first post clearly says no apprentices. Please delete your post.)
So, Treeclan had a new deputy. How. . .Odd. He knew he was older than Mintleaf, so it couldn't be age. Perhaps she had died. He nodded politely at Koisplash. "Nice job."
