I was a little bit confused about this. And I know I cant join an RP in a different clan or a private one.

Sort of, Darkkit. You can join one open RP at a time. Most people seem to forget about this rule, or have trouble with it. I myself am having a bit of touble myself right now. Basically, if you are in one RP thread, you shouldn't RP in another. And if you want to switch threads, just leave the other one in RP or leave in general.

But really what Redstorm says is never followed. So you may RP as you wish, just not TOO many threads. <3
