Snakeclaw smiled as he saw his apprentice fall asleep in the apprentice den. 'I know how tired he is.' Snakeclaw thought. 'I will do this job myself. After all, I did tire him out.' Snakeclaw went up to a elders bed and began to remove the old moss and replace it with new moss. Then he wondered..."Firelight! You in here?"

Firelight lifted her head with a befuzzled expression on her lips, and she ran her tongue around her teeth to rid herself of cottonmouth. Her jaws gaping in a yawn, she blinked at Snakeclaw.
'I should hope you brought me a snack.'

"Not quite." Snakeclaw meowed. "I thought you might want to tell me what snack you want."
Snakeclaw went over to a nest and began taking out the old moss and replacing it with new moss. "So what prey do you want?"

Snakeclaw let Firelight pass. He rolled his eyes. He knew that she wasn't that old, but he was just wondering if he could help. He shrugged, then began working on another nest, not Firelight's.

Snakeclaw bumped his shoulder against Hawkpaw's. "So your awake, you sleepy dormouse!" Snakeclaw teased his apprentice gently. "Of course you can help! Can you pass me the moss?"
