Moving Nest

[Stonemask]

Stonemask laughed as he was hit with snow.

[Cloudfrost]

Cloudfrost sat and purred with satisfaction, "Now you look like me." she joked with a bright smile. It was true, Stonemask was now 'Snow'mask. Cloudfrost stuck out her tongue in victory.

[Stonemask]

Stonemask got up and shook his pelt then gave her a grin. Swipping snow at her face her leaped to tackle her as she was distracted by the snow.

[Cloudfrost]

Cloudfrost looked in surprise before being tackled with a face full of snow. With Stonemask on top of her, she began to kick out at his underbelly. "Just like old times, huh Stonemask." She laughed through a pant.

[Stonemask]

Stonemask got of her and laid in the snow next to him, "Ya just like when we were kits."

[Cloudfrost]

Flopped down in the snow panting, she looked over, "So do you feel better or do I need to beat you at another snow fight?" she laughed, her Ivy green eyes sparkling.

[Stonemask]

Stonemask laughed, "Ya I am good thanks Cloudfrost."

[Cloudfrost]

She nodded as she got her second winds, Cloudfrost looked over, "You know, after all the time I've known you, we've never hunted together. Wanna?" She asked, starting to get up. Cloudfrost drew a paw over her ear to clean out the snow.

[Stonemask]

"Sure why not," Stonemask said with a smile.

[Cloudfrost]

With a small nod, Cloudfrost got up. "Alright then, let's go then." she said excited. Cloudfrost began nudging Stonemask up. "Come on, we won't live forever now." She joked.

Stonemask laughed and rose to his feet, "Alright little kit." Stonemask bursted into a run leaving Cloudfrost behind, "Keep up."

Cloudfrost took off after Stonemask, soon out of the camp, she scaled a tree with ease. Jumping nimble above the treetops, from one to another. The height advantage let Cloudfrost see the tall grey tom below her. With an evil smirk she jumped off, landing squarely in front of Stonemask. "Kit huh?" she yowled.

Stonemask grinned and leaped at her. His wieght pushing her onto her back. He looked down at her with a smile, "Cloudfrost I know this is wrong, but I love you."

[Cloudfrost]

Cloudfrost fell over onto her back as Stonemask jumped onto her. Her green eyes went wide with shock as he proclaimed his liking towards her, but she smiled anyways, "I never knew you felt like this, to tell the truth I've liked you for a long time before this. When Dogtail came, I just left it alone I guess, she seemed to make you happy." she mewed, mixed deeply with a purr. Cloudfrost had waited a long time for him, she would have waited forever if she had to.

"I'm in a state of joy that you feel like this, Stonemask. But what will Dogtail think? She'll be just heartbroken." she said in a small sad tone. She loved him, she really did, but he was already taken, by someone who had gotten there first. Someone who had the guts to tell how they felt, unlike her. She really was grateful to Dogtail, she admired her ferocity, but it had also lead her to be vulnerable to another's feelings.

She hadn't been there the whole time, but just in time to hear that Stonemask loved Cloudfrost. She liked him back. Then something happened. First, her heart that had taken so long to bring back together had shattered once more. Then she was angry; he'd lied to her. He kept secrets from her. He was .. That's when the tears began to fall.

“How dare you, Stonemask. You ruined everything. You were the reason that Splashspirit left .. Then you finally got me. All of that heartbreaking, all of that pain, all of that hate, that you caused ..; It was for nothing. I .. I hate you.”

Dogtail said, her blue eyes glittering sadly before turning away and running back to camp.
