I'm giving you my heart, can you promise me not to shatter it, scatter it?
It'd be more than I can handle, and I'm not good at puzzles
They always end in frustration
Do you promise to be patient?
I've got more walls and defenses then and army
But for some reason I let my guard down when your around.

Patience is definitely a virtue
I talk without thinking
Act before talking
My words are my worst enemy, at least when spoken.
I could pen a story in an hour
Yet spend days trying to figure out just what to say
I could be hopeless and say you make me speechless
But you know my words are riddles

Do you promise to be forever?
I don't think I could bear it, not speaking to you
I'm not perfect, will you accept the flaws to?
I know I'll make you want to tear your hair out
I'm sure you know this as well
So I ask you, will you still be forever?
Even when knowing the part of me you know?

Please know that it's not at all easy for me
Its like giving a piece of myself away
To trust someone that much, after all the hate I've seen and heard of
I'm entrusting you with something sacred
So now I ask you this one thing.
Can you still be forever?
