If there's one thing Crystalglow appreciated more now that she has officially retired, it was basking the warm sunlight. She was sprawling out in front of the elder's den where a convient rock lay to soak up the sun's rays. New-leaf was here now so the sun was of abundance and the old former medicine cat was not one to waste new resources.
Almost purring in delight, the silver-haired she-cat enjoyed the warmth. Her tail occasional flicked back and forth over the smooth surface of the stone. Amythest orbs were closed at the moment as she relished the coming new-leaf. Slow, deep breaths made her thin flank rise and fall. The she-cat seemed completely at ease with her surroundings. Now she had a time to rest although in her heart she was still a medicine cat. Still, her time had come and it was time for young ones to continue the tradition.
Besides, she wasn't entirely far from her duty. She could still give advice and over wisdom of her many seasons alive. Oh, and has she seen things in her lifetime. Crystalglow has seen countless wars and strife from all the Clans. Distant memories could now be retold to the one kits. Being an elder wasn't quite as useless as it sounded. Still she could do her duties before CloudClan called for her prescence.

Crystalglow? Wasnt she the medicine cat made into an elder? Wondered Firepaw she she walked up to the wise, silver elder. "Hi." She greeted dipping her head in greeting to the older cat. Her aqua eyes shone as she looked at the sunning rocks. "Do you mind if I pick your ticks?" Asked the apprentice who already had the mouse-bile ready. Plus if she did an eldes ticks she would be able to get more training from her mentor, Softspark.

Her eyes jolted open at the sudden question, slight irritation flashing across her face before softening. It was just an apprentice, nothing to get your tail tied in a knot about. Before she answered, she stretched her paws out to stretch, her claws automatically sticking out as she did so. Relaxing back onto the rock, Crystalglow dipped her head in a nod. "Please do, there's one little pest on my back that I just can't reach." Her voice though once smooth and clear now held a raspy undertone to it. Oh well, it's what came with old age after all.

(Well, this should be fun)
Waspwing had originally planned to go out and fetch those herbs today, which he kept telling himself. But it was just so nice. Plus, there weren't that many sick cats. In fact, only Harrowingpride was really sick. And she was getting much better. Oh well, herbs can wait another day.
He grabbed a plump warbler from the Fresh-kill Pile. Thank Cloudclan nobody was bringing in crow-food. He'd have to kill if he saw someone come in from eating rotten food. Especially if they knew it was rotten when they ate it. It was that sort of stupidity that really made him tick.
Suddenly he heard a voice he hadn't heard in quite some time. It had become a little raspy, but it was still clear enough for him to identify the cat. Crystalglow.
He hadn't talked to hear since he become a Medicine Cat, hadn't even seen her. Hopefully she wouldn't mind a bit more company. He walked over and dropped his warbler at her paws, settling down next to her. "Care to share?"

Firepaw dipped her head to Crystalglow before begining to search her silver pelt for ticks. The mouse-bile was in Firepaws jaws as she finally found the tick. Pushing the Mouse-bile against the little pest with a astick she smiled as it seemed to fall or in this case; jump off. Looking at it she bent down and snapped it inbetween her teeth. Glancing up to see the new medicine cat Firepaw smiled and nodded before working on a tick on the elders eartip.
