Larksong let Greenflare lead her into Waspwing's den- she'd only been in here one other time...but it felt like a life time ago. Then again it wasn't like she was over joyed to be back, the situation allowed nothing joyous about it! The black tabby had been attacked by Beechstar during an argument- leaving her right eye with three deep gouge marks across the iris. Blood still flowed heavily down the side of her narrow face. It hurt to blink or to even close that eye- so she was doing her best to keep it open. Her other eye darted anxiously around his den, searching for the tom. What do I say? I can't exactly lie about it- several cats saw it happen. I'll just tell the truth I suppose. "Thank you for helping Greenflare, it's most appreciated..." She mewed quietly.

Waspwing hadn't seen Larksong in the den since she was an apprentice, it had been right after the battle with Deathclan. He wouldn't rush over to her, but there was something about the way her eye looked. He was gagging on the inside though, seeing as how he feared to work on eyes. Hopefully Fernpelt could do most of the work.
He dipped his head at Greenflare, then waved him off with one paw. "What happened, Larksong?" He asked, going to grab some herbs.

As she finished applying Jaywood's poultice, Fernpelt looked over to the entrance of the den. Waspwing was already inquiring of the she-cat what had happened, so Fernpelt let him do the talking. Rummaging alongside Waspwing in the herb storage, she searched for some celandine to ease the irritation of Larksong's eye.

Larksong nodded briefly to Greenflare before turning her attention to Waspwing. "Well...Beechstar and I had an arguement. He sorta snapped and clawed my eye- he told me he had dirt in his claws so my eye would likely get infected and I'd lose sight in that eye..." She muttered, shifting from one white paw to the other. She could still feel Beechstar's claws as they tour through her iris, leaving what felt like trenches in their wake. The black tabby silently begged to keep her sight- although she had a sinking fear that it wasn't in Cloudclan's will. "Is what he said true? Will I loose sight in that eye?" She asked- her remaining good eye stared at him, glinting like a sputtering fire.

Greenflare dipped his head to both medicine cats, and waved his tail goodbye to Larksong, moving out of the medicine den.
[Short, sorry.]

Waspwing looked at Fernpelt, nodding, and took a few steps back. "Well, Larksong, it's most likely true. But we won't know until we heal your eye and give it some time. If your sight isn't any better, then it will stay that way forever. But it is possible that it could come back." He always hated to give cats that sort of news. It ruined lives, especially news about blindness.

Grateful that Waspwing hadn't made the treatment awkward by having them both work on Larksong at once, Fernpelt found the celandine. Hearing Larksong's comment about Beechstar's claws being dirty when he scratched her, Fernpelt wasn't sure if she should be more upset that their leader attacked a fellow clan member or that he didn't keep his paws clean. Either way, they should clean out that eye.
"Waspwing, could you wet some cobwebs? I feel moss might be a bit too clunky for this sort of work," she asked of him absentmindedly. She continued searching for some chervil, since the juice would be good to stop the infection that the dirt would cause. She normally would use whatever herb was the most plentiful at that moment, but she had a feeling Larksong wouldn't want mushed up herbs in her eye. she never thought the juice of chervil would be so helpful.

"...Will I have to stay here very long?" She asked, shuffling her white paws in the dirt- creating meaningless patterns. This was a nervous habbit she'd picked up when she was an apprentice, although she hadn't found any reason to be nervous in a very long time. "I-if I do go blind in that eye, I can still be a warrior right? I'll still have my other eye and my senses..." This last bit was more to herself though as the black tabby attempted to comfort herself. Her deep orange eye followed Fernpelt as the medicine cat looked around for herbs for her eye. oh dear....I hope it doesn't hurt...
