Bumblekit looked back with a cherished memory at the nursery, so many lovely days, moons, spent living in that confinement. AS purr rumbled deep in her chest and she put on a cheery smile. Usually, one would never see the mighty Bumbleki- No, paw, being cheery like that! But, today was special, she would finally leave her kit-hood behind to become an apprentice, it might seem impossible, but it was true! As a last goodbye, Bumblepaw stuck her tongue out. How wonderful! she bolted off, ignorant of the envious looks she got from the kits she left behind, "See ya'll!" she called with a light cackle. She ran into the apprentice den with not only a new attitude, but a new look too! No longer was she that small sad little thing. She had muscle built into her legs and around her chest, she had less trouble getting around and was much more careful about moving about. A new perspective had come with it you could say. Her voice had deepened a bit too, no longer a kit voice, but a real apprentice. Pride swelled in her chest. "Anyone home?" she laughed lightly poking her head into the dark dreary den. "Did the Phantom get you all down?" she laughed.

Phantompaw smiled slyly to himself. As he lurked in the shadows she passed him as he followed her and now he was right behind her. With a strong perfected muscle filled leap the tom barreled into his best friends and yes, his crush. "BUMBLEPAW!" With warm yellow eyes. As they were flying across the den due to Phantompaw's impact he added, "Dont worry, not storms tonight."
The tom looked at Bumbleki- no Bumblepaw with warm welcomeing eyes as he got off of her. "Welcome to the apprentice den." He said casually. Standing up he straightened himself like she had taought him and purred his rare purr only she could manage out of him. The black and white tom sat in his nest near the back of the den and patted a newly made nest saying, "This is for you. Its far from the outtside world." The tom was once again refering to her fear of thunder and lightning but this time to be nice as though he was trying to be nice about.

Bumblepaw glared hard at Phantompaw, "You don't amuse me."She meowed, but there was no avoiding fierce feel behind it. In truth she was happy to be back. "Hope you don't mind I brought the spider again." She teased. She purred too, taking a seat in the freshly made bedding. "Thanks a million, you didn't have to do it for me." She said with a cheery smile. The thunder brought horrid memories but she managed to suppress a shudder. She really wanted to get over her fear right now.

Phantompaw looked at Bumblepaw and said in a warm voice. Giving a rare smile that only the she-cat could arouse from him. "Well. I was bored." He purred The apprentice tried to ignore the comment about the spider and looked at the bright side. "Whose your mentor?" He pondered with a sly smile.

"No excuse." she teased. Bumblepaw shuffled her paws and glanced at Phantom, "Prairiesong is, back in the nursery we had the pleasure to meet before hand, so it's pretty nice. But we haven't started training yet." she explained with a purr. "Any other questions?" she asked poking him in the side. But something else gnawed on her, something she had been told a bit before. Bumblepaw shrugged it off, it would only be a matter of time anyways; but even then...

Phantompaw smiled and shook his head no before adding on, "Plus. If you asked me to make your nest I wouldnt have even touched a scrap of moss." Phantompaw teased his liquid topaz eyes bright with obvious delight. "Imagine it though." The tom dramatically paused before going on, "I spent all my time stuck with moony and droling Moonpaw. And akward Stormpaw... Oh and dont let me forget! With that come and go random Pikepaw."

Bumblepaw lashed her tail, not in a mad way. "Well aren't you mister popular?!" she teased in a mocking musical voice similar to his. "I've met Moonpaw, she seemed a lot nicer than how you described her." she accused, pushing him with her head. "Your nothing but a fat log nowadays." she joked. [lazy]

Phantompaw looked at Bumblepaw and hissed at her playfully. "And you're like an annoying bumbling bumblebee." The toms eyes were oddly darker thank usuall instead of looking liquid topaz it was more of a stone gold.

Bumble stopped, "Whats wrong?" she narrowed her eyes. Phantom had been acting funny lately. She looked at him with a worried but almost upset stare. Bumblepaw had good ears, she could hear a lot. Her tail flicked, her tail started to brush up, "Why aren't you, you?" she asked glancing at him. Something was up.

Phantompaw looked at Bumblepaw and said, "Lets just say I'm drifting in a lake of utter confusion with no control what so ever." That pretty much summed everytihng up. Phantompaw looked at Bumblepaw into those pretty brown eyes they were almost think and creamy.

Bumblepaw let out a heavy sigh, "Yeah," she mumbled, "You've been that way recently." She sighed again, but not in relief, "But even so, that's not an answer. I know you like me, Moon told me. But, you like her too don't you?" she looked up at him with a sad smile. "It'd okay though." she whispered quietly. She knew that wasn't the entire problem, but that was a bit of it. your such a stud, she thought with a bitter-sweet smile, but she looked away.

Phantompaw looked at Bumblepaw and said, "I dont know anymore. I cant take crying, its almost as the spider. And when she found out I had feelings for you and not her she cried and I freaked and said I felt something for you both but I've always been so sure it was you and would always be you..." The apprentice looked at Bumblepaw with stressed topaz eyes. 'Why would such a, normal such a, nice she-cat like something like me. It dosnt make sence. You and me, we're the same."

Bumblepaw glanced up, but she wasn't done ranting, "And what about Silver? I'm not sure you did that out of pity." she said, not with anger. Her voice was pitchless, no emotion to give. There was pity though. She herself wasn't real sure what to think, it was all happening so fast, she had hoped she wouldn't get interested until she was a warrior. But times changed, the good life couldn't last forever. Bumblepaw wasn't exactly sure of the whole do you love me stuff. Her stomach had butterflies now, her pelt grew warm too.

Spottedpaw lay asleep in her nest, twitching and muttering dark things in her sleep. The sun boring down on the calico apprentice, she woke up with sweat trickling down her pads. Tears filled her eyes and she crouched down into a little ball, tears falling for the second time in her life. Her dreams were dark images of her abusive parents, dead siblings, them wanting to kill her. They had felt so....real. Straightening now, she forced the tears out of her eyes. Obsidiankit was so much like her little sister, it was hard not to love her even though she was her adopted sister. Noticing Bumblepaw and Phantompaw at the back of the den, she gingerly walked over with a limp in her step. The bruise was permanent now, having left an imprint in her muscle and it burning all the time. "Hey." she murmured with a tired voice. [/color]

Bumblepaw looked over, her head instantly poking up, "Hey Spot." she smiled. She glared a bit at Phantompaw before stalking away from him. They could still be friends after he made up his friggin mind. She sat down next to Spottedpaw, "Like the apprentice den?" she asked with a flick of her tail. she swept her tail over the calico she-cat knocking pieces of moss off her.
