Really, Bumblepaw didn't see what the whole deal was. I mean, she had just been promoted to be an apprentice and already whispers were flying around. But not nly that, there were two names in that, Moonpaw, and herself. But, what had she done? Obviously there was some mistake, but even so, Bumblepaw didn't ant to get off on the wrong foot with anyone. So, she sat in the den by the entrance to wait for the (Silver?) she-cat.
She was getting tiresome quick though, she had received a mentor just yesterday evening. Things weren't going as planned, but you just had to make the best of everything. Bumblepaw got bored waiting and began drawing circles in the sand, they were supposedly cats, she drew herself, Silverkit, Phantompaw, and even Stormpaw. She would draw Moonpaw but that face was unseen to her brown eyes and shehad no clue what she looked like.
So, where was she?

Moonpaw came back yawning from changing the elders miss and checking them for ticks. Then she noticed the she-cat Bumblekit- Er Bumbkepaw. "Hey Bumble. What's up?" she asked.

Bumblepaw was startled at first, she really wasn't expecting it, irony huh? Recovering, Bumblepaw put on a warm smile, real. "I'm good, you? You seem rather down." She observed. She really wasn't sure what she should say, for one she didn't know hat was going on, but even then, it was nice to meet a friend. She only had a few. |

Moonpaw looked at her paws. "Yeah.... I guess." Moonpaw said. She looked back at Bumblepaw. "Why?" she asked the apprentice.

Bumblepaw gazed at the ground thinking about what to say. Well, what better way to answer a question, with a question! Her paws rubbed around in their fit of nerves, "Do you.. This will sound silly, but do you like me? Like as as a friend or an acquaintance? Cause if you don't I understand." She meowed slowly. When she wasback in the nursery it seemed that Moonpaw like Phantompaw, but he had told her that he didn't feel the same. She still wasn't real sure what it had to do with her, but it made her feel almost guilty. |

Moonpaw looked at Bumblepaw. "Yeah. I do." she replied smiling. Then she noticed Bumblepaws expression. "Yeah if your wondering... I'm sure Phantom told him that I like him. And he dissent like me..., well the truth is, he's in love with you." Moonpaw replied ashamed. But she had to tell Bumble...

Her pet filled up with embarrassment now, her turn to be shy. "But, don't feel bad. Now that I know, I'm not sure what to think. But really, thanks for being honest all the same." She meowed turning into her cheery mood. "But, no hard feelings kay? Moonpaw, I don’t really want to start anything and I assume you feel like I do. So, Moon, I want to be friends." She blurted out confidently. It would be a good while before Silver came, so she'd have to make plenty of friends, she'd make sure. |

Well, this was certainly going well! do you like him at all? she asked, "To be honest I haven't thought ahead that far. So, I'm not sure, possibly." That was what she relied with, it was the best answer she could honestly say. Did she? Phantom was her partner in crime, could there be more to that? Bumblepaw looked back at Moonpaw, "But what do you think, what would you think if we did like each other?" Bumblepaw didn't want the wrong idea. Besides, she didn't want to tell him, not yet, when he felt ready. "Never mind what I said. If were gonna be friends we might as well get to know each other! So uh, who is your mother? Siblings?" It was probably funny talking like this. |

Moonpaw shuffled her paws. "I-Er.... I don't know....." Moonpsw replied awkwardly to the pretty ginger she-cat. She could see why Phantom would like Bumble, not her.

Bumble smiled, she was quite happy things were okay between them. Phantom was her only real friend for now. She needed to get out of that. Bumblepaw wiggled her tail, "Great! Okay then, you ask me a question!" She suggested. Her pelt was quivering with all the success.

Moonpaw smiled. "Okay. Hmmm. What is your favorite type of prey? Then ask me a question." she mewed flicking her ears happily. She cocked her head, a habit of hers, waiting for and answer.

"Crow, well, bird I guess. Okay which den do you like to clean more?" Bumblepaw asked imitating Moonpaw's habit. Crow was her first catch, she and Prairiesong spent the day hunting and she also caught a mouse that day too. She loved to go the elder's den, Weedtail was good company to have, much more fun than the kits or medicine cat.
