Scarpaw entered the den for clean ing for the last time. She worked on the few nests in the den and sighed. Soon I will be a warrior she thought. She licked her paws clean and sat in the middle of the den.

Shadowwing padded back into the den from outside and noticed Scarpaw. "Oh, did you change out the bedding?" He asked the young apprentice, sitting across from her.

"ya!" Scarpaw meowed to Shadowwing "I hope it's nice I tried to get the best bedding I could find for the last time I cleaned your den," She purred. "I'm going to be a warrior once Darkstar gives my ceremony,"

Shadowwing smiled happily at the apprentice. "I'm happy for you! I'm sure you'll make a fine warrior. And thanks for changing out the bedding. It's been getting really hot lately, and the frest bedding makes Firelight more comfortable." He said, licking his paw and swiping it over his ear. "Have any preferences for your warrior name? He asked curriously.

"Thanks," Scarpaw meowed to the elder. She could not wait to get her warrior name! Then her own apprentice!
