Finally the last den to clean. This one was one of the easier ones, given it only had one nest. She began her quick work.

Hawkstar watched him clean and smiled remembering his own days as an apprentice in Fireclan.
"Make sure you make my new nest over there, in the top right corner there, please."

Runningfeet had walked into camp after finishing a small hunt. She had cough two piece of prey and was very satisfied with her luck on the rough territory. The tall thin she-cat placed her two mouse on the pile and looked around the camp. Her light brown eyes stopped when the reached the Leader's Den. Venomstar had become and elder and a Fireclanner known as Hawktalon became their new leader. He now went by the name Hawkstar and gave his word that he would give everything for the Clan. The last she spoke to the tom was at the gathering that announced his new rank to the Clan. Runningfeet shifted her gaze to the pile and picked up one of the mouses she had just caught. She made her way to the entrance of the den and slowly slipped in. When she entered the den she saw an apprentice and Hawkstar. Runningfeet knew the young apprentice as Centipedepaw, a new apprentice who was being trained by her former apprentice, Stonepit. Then her light brown gaze shifted to the grey tom. She placed the small limp creature on the ground then bowed her head in respect, "Good Evening Hawkstar."

Hawkstar switched his gaze to the she-cat he had tried so hard to gain approval of. Runningfeet. Or was it Rushingleaf? He didn't know why but this cat drove him crazy and not in a good way. It was like two voices in his head shouting at each other whenever she was around
She is Rushingleaf! She has too be! No, you're wrong. Rushingleaf was a boy. I could just be confused! This is Rushingleaf. You are confused, Hawkstar...confused.
It was simply maddening.
"Hello..." he couldn't say her name. "How are you...is that for me?" he asked flicking his tail at the prey.

Runningfeet was getting an uneasy feeling as the tom. It seemed as if he was avoiding her name. Was it connect to his past apprentice Rushingleaf? What was the relationship between those two? "Yes, I hope you don't mind," Runningfeet said with a warm smile. The she-cat picked up the small limp creature and padded over towards the tom. She placed the mouse next to his grey paws and looked at him with brown eyes. "I am sorry is I troubled you back at the gathering. I know I said somethings that might have been personal." Runningfeet bowed her head in a sign of apology and also in a sign that she respected him now as the new leader.

when i was a young boy i was honest and i had more self control if i was tempted , i would run ~ ! then when i got older i began to lie to get exactly what i wanted when i wanted it and i wanted it ~ !
beoh, can you believe guys? i'm back. miss me?
belet's sum up his life story: he fell in love with sparrowfeather, and she loved him back. then flamepool came along. after his heart break, he caused so much drama .. he was exiled. smooth move, am i right? welp, like that little coward he is, rushingleaf slithered over to rockclan in refuge, hoping no one would know of what he'd done.
bebut when he heard his old mentor, hawktalon, can here and became leader. well, he just couldn't resist. thus, walking in with a coy little smirk, he greeted the cats, "'ello, hawktalon." those two words rolled slyly off his tongue, laced thickly with amusement.

Hawkstar now saw two cats. Runningfeet and Rushingleaf. Doubles; yet different. Black with yellow eyes, Brown she-cat whom he had seeked approval of. It was too much. Which was which.
There's no Rushingleaf. There's no Runningfeet. Stop. Stop. Stop.
"Go away." he muttered barely audible.

Dogpaw had very good hearing and sense of smell. She heard his words. She finished up the nest where Hawkstar wanted it then quickly began to scurry away
