My blue-gray eyes wide, I padded softly into the apprentices' den.
All I wanted to do was sit and think, remembering the times when Sunmist--then Sunpaw--visited me in the nursery.
I made my way over to my nest.
The stale moss stank of remorse and desolation, I couldn't remember the last time I had cleaned out the bedding.
My golden tabby fur shone dully in the gloom of the dark apprentices' den.
I sighed and curled up in my nest, not noticing the tom sitting nearby. [/center] [LAAAAAAZY!] |

I rolled my eyes. Toms! I had already caught Dustpaw's message, he just didn't know. I shrugged, an "I don't care." I didn't like anyone. I wasn't that dumb, to go mooning over anycat. I had learned my lesson. Cats don't care about their mates. They care about their reputation. Ooooh yes, I learned that the hard way!
