Gingerpaw had finally made up her mind. Sunny was gone. He didn't exist anymore. Therefore there was no talking about him. Or for that matter, thinking about him. All of it would just cause more pain. He was just an old piece of gum now. He had his time. He was sweet. She'd blown her bubbles but now that piece of gum was tasteless and giving her a stomache-ache. That's what he did to her life. Now it was time to spit him out. And that was that. She was done with him. He was gone.

Diamondpaw breathed the air deeply, feeling the freshness of the day. But there was something that just didn't feel right. Something...different, something wrong in an apprentice's life. She looked around the den, wondering what it was. After spotting a tabby cat that was sitting alone. She padded up to her. Maybe she knows what that feeling I got was about. "Hello," Diamondpaw greeted, settling herself down next to the apprentice. |

Gingerpaw purred at the sight of the white apprentice. She had never seen the apprentice before, "Hi. I'm Gingerpaw. But you can call me Nilla if you want."

Diamondpaw smiled. "Hey, Nilla. My name's Diamondpaw. I don't believe we've met before?" she replied, blinking her warm brown eyes. "You know, I'm sort of getting the feeling that something's wrong. Do you know what it is?" she asked. |

Gingerpaw blinked and sighed, "Do you really want to know? Ok, my list of weird things that happened in the last moon: One, change of leader, Venomstar to Hawkstar; Two, change of deputy and queens. Three, I've been having nightmares, (I never have nightmares,) Four, Foxtwist decided to jump off a cliff. Five, Treeclan burns down and moves to to Iceclan. Six, a cat we haven't seen in a moon shows up randomly..."

"What?" Diamondpaw suddenly exclaimed, trying to take in everything Gingerpaw was saying. Well, we're all sorry about Dashfire's, Splashfoot's, Swiftwish's, and Silverleaf's deaths, and the leader thing was just...but what was the other stuff she was saying? "What do you mean by you've been having nightmares and Foxtwist decided to jump off a cliff and a cat shows up randomly? Why, why, WHY, would Foxtwist jump off a cliff, and who was the strange cat?" she asked curiously, her questions flowing out of her like a tireless stream. |

Gingerpaw blinked, "You mean you don't know? Well, I guess I wouldn't expect you to know about Foxtwist. She wanted to go swimming. But she's ok now. And how would I know why I've been having nightmares? And the strange cat is Ensoleille, la mysterieuse, qui tient disparaitre!"
