Sunmist waited patiently in the Warriors den for his former mate. Might as well get this all over with. He learned all his lessons. Sunmist knew she was with Stone, but that didn't matter, if he made her happy, well good. That's all Sunny really wanted, to have everyone in the 'Group' happy. He sighed, even if it meant he wasn't. Sunny scanned the den, Where was she? Obliviously the "crush" Wasn't at all a crush. He remebered all those memories... Sunmist shook his head to clear it. That's all the past Sunny.... Stay in the present. He heard a noise and looked at the entrance to the den.

The she-cat stared blankly at the wall of the den. She missed Sunmist, thinking the tom left because of her and Lilly. She hadn't seen him since he blew off a walk to talk with the apprentice. Cloudbreeze let out a soft sigh. The only reason she agreed to become mates with Stonepit was to make him happy. And, she honestly thought Sunny was gone for good. The silver tabby just blinked at the wall. Nothing but depression.
Small tears flowed off of her cheeks and she sat up, drawing a paw to cover her face for a moment. Sunny, please. she begged in her mind as a small whimper escaped her throat. Cloudbreeze put her paw on the ground and opened her sky blue eyes, a surprise waiting in front of her. Tears still dripped slowly off her face as she gazed at him. Cloudbreeze's throat was tight, nothing could come out. Only more tears followed and a little wail finally escaping her throat. A wail of grief.

(Peoples are spreading horrible rumors about ol' Sunny. They're saying I'm trying to "steal" you back from Stonepit. Then they're saying that you don't really like him and he's bugging you all the time.) Sunmist shook his orange head slowly. "Cloudy..." His blue eyes met hers, or tried to. "Cloudy.... I can explain it all to you, and I would... but-" Sunmist stopped, "You would take it the wrong way or you wouldn't understand it my way." Sunmist was referring to why he had left. He flicked his tail tip. "I still love you Cloudbreeze, and you know that I do. But I can't take you away from Stonepit again. I just can't. He's happy and I want you to be too." He tried desperately for her to understand this. To look at it his way.... "Cloudy, you do understand right?" Please do let her understand! CloudClan please. |

Cloudbreeze nodded. "I know, but . . . I'm not happi with a mate. It only make broken hearts. I'll talk to Stonepit. I don't want one, nor do I need one." she meowed. "I'm sorry." she whispered.

Sunmist was happy! She understands! "I don't really want one too... And if I do have one in the future... I don't want it to be someone I've been friends with since... Well, forever!" Sunmist smiled, "But... Give Stonepit a chance... Please Cloudy." He ran up to her and licked her on the cheek. "I love you Cloudy, but it ends here." He meowed.
(Stonepit is my mate on another site. I'm a Queen and he's Deputy.)

Cloudbreeze's eyes widened. They had told each other about their crushes when they were apprentice, and that was going to end! Small tears dripped from her eyes. "But, we'll still be close, right?" she whispered. "Alright, I'll make it a deal." she meowed.

Sunmist sighed, he knew how she felt. "Yes Cloudy, we will stay close." He smiled and rested his orange tail on her flank. He stepped back and a clouded look came into his eyes. "Good-bye Cloudy."

Cloudbreeze rested her head on his chest for a moment, embracing him one last time. Then, she backed away. "Wait, what abou Lilly? Are you running to her?" she questioned, pricking her ears. She didn't want that to happen. "I became Stonepit's mate to make him happy for once. And, I truly thought you were dead. If you were here, it wouldn't have happened. I'm not blaming you, but I'm just depressed now." she whispered, shaking her head, lowing her blue eyes to the ground.

Sunmist shook his head, "I know you said your not very happy right now....." He meant about him and Stonepit. "And no, I'm not running to anyone. I don't want a mate I have known for so long and has been friends with for a long time." He glanced at Cloudy. "I want to grow attached to a she-cat that I haven't been friends with since the beginning." He smiled at her. "You understand right?"

"Yes, I do." she murmured. Cloudbreeze stared out of the den, her blue eyes clouded with loss. "So, do you want to do something?" the tabby and white cat asked, tilting her head and looking up at Sunmist.

Sunmist looked around.... Thinking of something to do. "How about going for a hunt?" He asked, "As friends?" Sunmist smiled as he said the word. Finally, they were all friends again! He gazed into Cloudy's eyes, waiting for her to reply to his suggestion. "We don't have to go hunting if you don't want to." He added.
