Far too long have the clans gone without a gathering. Wildstar had simply had enough of TreeClan, and she wasn't sure what the other two clans knew, or what she would reveal to them. But surely CloudClan could not have been pleased with the clans for not gathering in moons. Their avoidance of each other probably caused the dryness of this Green Leaf. And besides, Wildstar was curious to hear what was going on in the other clans.
She led her clan behind her with a few people who stayed behind, then when they reached the clearing, Wildstar leaped up on the branch and took her usual spot. Suddenly she was curious to know if the other clans had bothered to gather at all in the previous moons. If they did, they would be furious with Wildstar.

Hawkstar entered the shared clearing, his clan at his back and his nerves at the breaking point. This was his first gathering as a leader and his first in a while. When a patrol informed him that Iceclan cats were making their way toward the shared clearing he had been shocked. There hadn't been a gathering for moons after all. But that was the only reason Iceclan would be heading that way he realized.
Quickly he had gathered a group of cats to accompany him to the first gathering in forever. On the way he had been over joyed. Now that he was here however, he was only nervous.
There was a lot of stress within his clan about Iceclan and Rockclan being in one clan together. Rockclan's territory was large and had also the fewest cats, making it a nice prize to claim if the opportunity presented itself. Two clans versus one small clan was a prize in his eye anyway.
IceClan was obviously already there and Wildstar was already perched on her favorite tree branch. She had been on that branch for as long as he could remember. <---(hello) ;)
He left his clan to mingle and made his way through the Iceclan cats trying to avoid any of their curious gazes at the new Rockclan Leader. Not only the new Rockclan leader but also an accomplice in kidnapping two of their cats, his children. He wondered if Wildstar knew about this, almost certainly she did and he now pondered whether she would call him out for it or not.
Fun. he thought. Can't wait to explain that.
No longer in a good mood he hopped to a branch he had seen Flamingstar, the first Rockclan Leader he had ever known, use while she had lead Rockclan.
The branch was close to Wildstar so he nodded politely to her and spoke "Good evening, Wildstar. It has been a very long time hasn't it?"
Hawkstar was acutely aware of where he was. Close to the ground just like he liked it. He couldn't understand how Iceclanners could live so high up in the mountains and Treeclanners could fly through the trees at such precise skill. He also realized that he was sitting in Flamingstar's and Venomstar's old spot. He had never known any other leaders of Rockclan and he was suddenly filled with honor for being in that spot at the moment.

Wildstar stretched on her beloved branch as she waited for the other clans to follow. They sure were taking their time. Or perhaps none of the clans had been meeting at all in the past few moons, and weren't going to come again. As that thought popped into Wildstar's head, she considered leaving right now. But before she could summon her clan, she suddenly heard some noise in the distance. Louder...closer...cats. She could make out the sound and scent of cats. Clan cats, no doubt, because who else could it be? She sniffed the air and identified the cluster of cats as RockClan.
So there will be a gathering tonight! she thought.
Finally they made their way through the brush, and at the head of the group was not Venomstar, but...Hawktalon?! Sure enough, it was her old FireClan friend. Confused, she watched as Hawktalon led RockClan behind him, then jumped onto the branch beneath her.
"Yes, it certainly has been a long time," she said. "Err...not really! That reminds me, what have you done with Maplefrost?! And where's Venomstar? And why are you on his branch?--With RockClan, no less!"

Hawkstar flicked his tail uncomfortably "Let's wait for the other leaders to get here before I answer that. If they get here that is. I thought maybe Fireclan saw our patrol...Sorry. I'm sure you have many questions."
In fact. He knew she did.
