Rushingpaw went in the medicine cats den gasping for help, "HELP!!!!!!!!" he shouted. "Emberstorm had ripped off my left ear and Shiningpaw beat me up!" he told the medicine cats. "Please help me!" he asked. He was bleeding of pain.

I padded out from my nest. "Calm down, Rushingpaw." I flicked my own ear, showing him the nick I got from a warrior when I was an apprentice. "I got that from a FireClan warrior, too. I was out collecting herbs when he came apon me, thinking that I was stealing herbs. There went the tip of my ear." I grabbed some marigold, rubbed it on his ear, or where it used to be, and said, " There, the best I can do is prevent the infection, if I can."

Rushingpaw calmed himself down as Snakefang put on some Marigold. He nodded as Snakefang told him what happened "Thank you so much!" He told the medicine cat. His ear was still gone but it at least felt better. "So are we going to fight back FireClan?" He asked him

Bluekit looked at runningpaw ''what happened to your ear? was it a battle?'' she ran in knocking some herbs over looking at runningpaw and perked her ears

He saw the gray kit and replied, "Yes... Emberstorm took my left ear." he gazed to the ground, upset at what happened.

I hissed at the sight of my scattered herbs, heart freezing as I remembered how much herbs I still had to collect. "Rushingpaw, we will know if Hawkstar wants to fight. Now, both of you, out of my den, please." I started padding out of my den, then called back, "Sunblaze, I'm going out to serch for herbs!"
