My Ray of Sunshine{O}

Skypaw laid there in the den, his eyes closed. He was twitching simultaneously, flicking back his good ear. He sighed. The apprentice probably can't train. He woke up, his eye lids fluttering open.

"Ooooh, how long have I been out?" he asked himself, getting up. His bones and muscles were stiff and he stretched, his foot slightly aching. He feel down and held back a cry of pain as his foot throbbed. He licked it, the scent of herbs wafted into his nostrils. The brown tom looked around. He was in the medicine cat's den. What happened?

"Hello?" he asked, wrapping his tail around his body to warm him up. A puddle sat outside and Skypaw stood up, wobbling. He limped over to it and before he could even see his reflection, a rustling caught his attention. It was another cat.

(When I saw this I was like: FINALLY SOMEBODY WHO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS BOARD WORKS!!!!)
I pad over to you, resting my tail on your shoulder. "It's probably best that you don't look until it's done healing. I'm still not sure how badly it will scar." I say as gently as I can.

Destinedspirit walked into the den with two mice in her jaws."Hello I brought food," she meowed seeing Skypaw up.

Skypaw looked up at Brightflame and nodded. Instead, he closed his good eye and began to lap at the water. The tom brought his snout back up and the smell of prey made his mouth water. He quickly limped over to Destinedspirit, licking her ear in a Thank-You kinda lick. The brown feline smiled at the she-cat and motioned to the fresh-kill.

"Is that for me?" he asked her, his face slightly warming at the thought that Destinedspirit actuactlly cared enough to bring him food. He laid down gingerly, careful of his paw.

Destinedspirit looked at him kindly as he licked her ear."Of course it's for you," she meowed sweetly. She saw him blush a little and it made her blush. She looked away for a moment trying to think about something to say."So how do you feel?" she asked laying down next to him.

"Could be better," he meowed, still wanting to look at his face. It stung a little, but not like a couple of sunrises ago. Skypaw stretched forward, his jaws fitting around the two mice. He nudged one over to Destinedspirit and pulled one next to him. He tore into it, as hungry as a Fo-no. Badger. He didn't want to think about the creature.

"It feels like I haven't eaten in moons," he laughed and finished off his breakfast with a quick grooming. A chilly wind blew threwand Skypaw ducked his head against it. It was getting slightly chillier, but they were in the mountains. What did he expect, it to be like Fireclan?

Destinedspirit smiled at him. She grabbed the mouse that Skypaw nudged over to her and tore into it hungrily. She giggled a little when saidabout how hungry he was. She was happy that he had survived the fox attack. He wa strong and wasn't surprised that he had scared it off somehow."Well at least you are alive," she meowed taking another bite of the mouse.

[Cedarpaw]

Stepping into the den with a weak smile, she padded over towards Skypaw, some daisies in her jaws. Dropping them at the brown tom's feet, Cedarpaw sat down. "How are you .. ?" The calico apprentice asked softly.

Skypaw's ears shot up and he smiled widely. He saw the daises and slightly blushed. He stood up and stretched, trying to make eye contact with Cedarpaw's bluuuuuue eyes.

"Like I said before, I could be better," he meowed to her, purring with delight at the pretty cat.

Destinedspirit knew that look on Skypaw's face when Cedarpaw walked in. She had seen him give that look to Pebblepaw and herself at one time. She gave a small smile as Cedarpaw dropped the daisies."Hello Cedarpaw," she meowed. She took another bite of her mouse and then licked her chops smiling again.

Again with that weak, pitiful smile. "Oh .." She murmured, looking at her paws with a wide grin. But Cedarpaw stopped and glanced over at the silver warrior, "Oh, hello."

"So, how are you? Doing anything today?" he asked the apprentice, his paws feeling wierd. He stood up and padded next to Cedarpaw, pressing against her. He had seen other cats do that, and realized it was an attempt to show affection. Well, Skypaw was showing "friendly" affection. He didn't realize that he actually liked Cedarpaw. He just thought that they were REALLY GOOD "friends".

She flattened her faded calico ears, looking to the left, pursing her lips. "No, not really." Cedarpaw mewed, kind of silent. She's fallen for another apprentice but she didn't want to say anything. lolno, jk. OuO

"Er, OK," Skypaw wanted to invite her to stay inside the den, but didn't know how to say it without making it awkward. Instead, he just pressed agaist her, purring. That was just a friendly gesture, right?hehehe nooo

Destinedspirit smiled at the two of them.'They would make a cute couple,' she thought. She had once thought as her and Skypaw as a couple, but something happened in their relationship and they drifted apart for awhile. Now there was someone new in her life that she loved, actually two cats. She thought about them. She looked back at them and smiled bigger.
