Usually, kits didn't wander into the leader's den for no reason. Oceankit had a reason. He picked up the mouse he was carrying and sniffed the air. Wildstar wasn't in here. Her scent was stale. Oceankit was releaved, and he padded into the leader's den. He set the mouse down as he looked around Wildstar's den. Cool place. He picked the mouse up again, walked over to Wildstar's nest, and set the mouse down. Then he went back outside, his jaws aching from the weight of the mouse, and he came back in with moss in his jaws. He didn't know how to change a nest, but he had to try. He figured that maybe he could do something nice for Wildstar.
He dragged the old moss out, landing with a WHUMP on his back, and he shook his fur out as he stood up and dragged the moss away from the nest. Then he grabbed the new moss and struggled into the bracken, bringing the moss up with him. He set the moss in the nest, then flattened out the moss and got rid of all the sticks and stones in the moss. Once it was empty of anything that would disturb the leader, Oceankit jumped back down, picked up the mouse, jumped back up, and put the mouse on Wildstar's nest. Then Oceankit went outside and waited to see how the leader reacted when she came in and found her den clean.
