When? [open]

[Dapplecloud]

I stick my head in the apprentices' den. "Hi, Silverpaw," I mew. I smile at the other two, not knowing who they were, though. As I had padded up to the den, my sharp ears could pick up about their mentors. I decide not to jump straight into the conversation, though, but listen to what they had to say.

[Silverstripe]

"Hey Dapplepaw" I say smiling, i nod saying that it was good to see her. I go back to the conversation, i look at Dapplepaw waiting for her to say something.

[Dapplecloud]

I sit in my nest and frown. "Coldstep hasn't been training me much lately. I'm falling behind on training. Right now, I only know how to hunt." I shake my head. "I mean, Icystep and Ospreysoar weren't even born when I became an apprentice." As patient as I was, I was getting pretty frustrated at not getting trained.

[Frailpaw]

Frailpaw tilted her head s the new cat walked up, "Hey," She said shyly, but politely. "Your mentor doesn't train you too? Wow. Why are there so many cats with mentors who don't train them?" she frowned in thought but smiled a little bit afterwards, "I'm Frailpaw, by the way, Who are you?"

[Dapplecloud]

I flick my tail-tip happily. I liked meeting new cats. "Hello, Frailpaw. I'm Dapplepaw. As I said before, my mentor is Coldsep." I shake my head, irritated slightly at my mentor's absence. "Coldstep has three apprentices to train, including me. We haven't gotten too far in training yet."

[Silverstripe]

"I remember your ceremony" I purred, "I haven't learned anything but hunting either, and Hawkstar do my ceremony" I told them smiling. I remembered the day she first met Dapplepaw, i sighed realizing i was the oldest one here.

[Frailpaw]

Frailpaw looked sadly at her new friends. She was sad that they weren't training much. They couldn't do anything about it though! They could just wait until their mentors did something ot Hawkstar gave them a new mentor. She sighed. "I'm really sorry for you two." She said truthfully. "I really can't express how bad I feel." Even if Frailpaw had never really felt what it was like not to have a mentor who trained her, she had a good imagination and could imagine it, though she knew it wasn't to fun. Sorrow filled her pale eyes as she thought about how Silverpaw and Dapplepaw must feel actually going through it.

[Silverstripe]

I shrug "Its not your fault" I tell her giving her a smile. It was true it wasn't fun, even though they had time to do other stuff she would rather be training. "I'm sure i'll have a new one soon i asked Hawkstar awhile ago!" I tell them hopefully. I sigh and try and change the subject a bit "So who's your mentor Frailpaw?" I ask her.

[Frailpaw]

"Well," frailpaw said, "It was Cavernfall, but Hawkstar issued me a new one. Her name is Softheart." She smiled, "She's really nice and trains me really well." Frailpaw liked her new mentor just as much as her old one. They both knew her strong points and tried to improve the parts that weren't so strong.

I nod "Thats great, its always good when you like your mentor" I purred. "i liked Wildswirl she told me though that she didn't have time so i need a new one" I say sadly. "But she was still nice" i tell them, "i hope my new mentor is nice too" i tell her. I look at Frailpaw, "I'm glad for you, that you have a good mentor" i say smiling.

I look at Frailpaw. "I know Softheart. We met when we were apprentices, but Softheart went on to be a warrior." Not wanting to bring the subject about not training up again, I say "Cloudfrost used to be my mentor, till Hawkstar chose Coldstep to train me."
