Everything had been fine. Redstorm had been healthy, although maybe a bit lazy. But recently he had noticed a small change in his vision. Nothing major, nothing to panic over, but something to get checked out.
He knew that he was getting older, and that it was natural to lose sight and hearing, but he was actually rather afraid. He hadn't been blind or deaf since his birth, like all newborn kittens. He couldn't even imagine what being fully blind or deaf would be like. Would he be the same? Would he be able to survive? Of course, so many other blind and deaf cats had lived.
He stuck his head into the Medicine Den, ears low. He had to make sure nobody but Brightflame was around to hear him. He didn't want to alarm his kits. "Brightflame!" His hiss was just loud enough to be heard.
He took another step in, no longer worried that there were others here. "Brightflame, I need to talk to you." He hissed again, sitting down int he center of his father's den.
'Dear Cloudclan, please give me a bit longer to see and hear...Please..' (PRIVATE. BRIGHTFLAME ONLY)

I pad out of my den and into the main den. My fur was a mess, having stayed up all night trying to figure out which herbs I needed to gather. I hadn't heard from Falconwing recently, which made me slightly worried and a bit annoyed that I would have to carry that many herbs by myself. I manage a tired smile, "Hello Redstorm, what seems to be the problem?" I ask, my voice friendly and warm. My tone changes when I see how you, it wasn't like there was anything majorly different, but your usually bright, mischievous glint in your eyes was slightly faded. My eyes widen a bit in worry, and my tail lashes back and forth. I take a deep breath, going it's just the light, "Redstorm...what's wrong?"

"Don't be..To worried. My vision is just a bit blurry." He mewed, looking at his paws. "Probably just one of the many side-effects of age." He muttered, trying to have a sense of humor.

(-Bleep-ing autocorrect. =.=) I frown, "Oh hush up Redstorm. You're not THAT old! I'm older then you and I'm fine!" My expression brightens suddenly, "Granted, I had just finished my training when I met Bluestream." I say, laughing mischievously.

"Well then perhaps I simply have bad eyesight by nature. I don't exactly have your biological traits, and I know nothing about my family. They could have had plenty of health problems that were carried on through me." He said bluntly, leaning against the den's wall.
"My point is that I need something for my vision, if there are any herbs for that."

I laugh, "I didn't even meet your mother's family. I don't have anything for eyesight...except...erm...maybe carrots?" I suggest, laughing. "I really don't have anything for eyesight. I'm sorry."

"Well then.." Redstorm simply look down, then outside. "I suppose I'll just leave then. Thank you for your time.." He mewed, padding away from Brightflame.
