Brokenpaw ambled into the elders den, head down. Thanks to her stupidity, she had to clean the elders den for a punishment. Just great. And, Brokenpaw had heard that the elders were extremely cranky and rude. Lifting her head, the sightless she called out "Hey. I'm here to clean."

"And check for ticks." Brokenpaw added quickly, remembering the task Skyfire had assigned her.

Redstorm lifted his head. What was this? An apprentice here not only to clean, but also to check for ticks? Was Cloudclan finally sending the elders some sort of gift? Either way, he would definitely take up the offer.
"You can start by getting the tick off of my right ear." He muttered, stalking up to the little apprentice. "And after that you may switch out my older moss for some new moss. Make sure it is indeed dry, and there are no thorns. If I find a single thorn in my bedding I'll make sure you're cleaning this den until you get it right." He growled, somewhat jokingly.

Brokenpaw blinked. Cloudclan, these elders were mean. But, a punishment is a punishment. Gingerly, she picked up the mouse-bile ridden ball and padded around, felling his pelt lightly with her tail to no where she was. Dabbing the ball onto his right ear as she had said, she found the fat little bug dropped off quickly. Huh, then cats and bugs had something in common. Hating mouse-bile. "Okay. . Next one." She located it on his neck, and killed that one too(Was that power-play? I apologize if it was). "Are there anymore you need me to get?" She asked quietly, not wanting to have to locate all of them herself.

(It wasn't, don't worry. xD)
"None I can feel, no. You're good for ticks." He said quietly, curling up into a little ball next to the Den's wall.
At leas this apprentice was holding any snotty comments to herself. It was nice not having to yell at everyone that came into the den for something. It was even better when someone actually came in and acted like they actually cared.

Brokenpaw smiled. She was done with ticks. That was one nasty job she hoped she wouldn't have to repeat in a while. "Thanks. So, I get you fresh moss now." She was mumbling a little, then realized the elder might not be able to hear her. "Okay, if I'm done with that, I'm gonna go get some new moss." She waited a couple heart-beats before going out, wanting to be sure that was her next task.

Because she never went into the elder's den much, Silverblaze was padding over there to check up on them. At the entramce, she ran into Brokenpaw. They had known eachother as kita and it was nice to see her. "Hello," she meowed as she dipped her head. Brokenpaw might not have remembered her.
